Recieved in a trade from jageraholic. Thanks for the can bro!
Poured from a can, dated 'BEST BEFORE 10 JUL 2013', into my Deschutes tulip glass...
A - Pours a dark nut brown color, with a huge 4 finger light brown head. It hangs around for a while, but when it does fade, it leaves behind some nice lacing.
S - The smell is a little weird. It's a mix of coffee and butter scotch candy. Let's see what it tastes like...
T/M - The smell doesn't do the taste justice at all! The front of the taste is like a nice iced coffee, the middle opens up to some of the dark & carmel malts, and ends with an almost bittersweet chocolate finish. Really nice evolution of flavors, with no evidence of alcohol at all. Kinda surprising since this beer is 10%. Medium mouthfeel, perfect carbonation.
O - This one really surprised me. After the smell, I was expecting much, but this one is actually pretty damn good. All the flavors of this one are very well balanced, and very drinkable. Thanks again jageraholic for sending this can my way!
