Poured pitch black from the can with thick lacing down my mug. The aroma is thick with the Stumptown coffee, while tangy, bitter cocoa pulls through stronger in the flavor. The flavor tend to trade back and forth in the beer's character, over the black-roasted barley. The dark flavors blend and run into a long, lingering aftertaste. It's slightly dry and surprisingly drinkable for a 10% dark beer, but I suppose Baltic porters go down more easily than an imperial stouts.
