Appearancve - Dark brown/tan with a monster 4+ inch head, tons of thick sticky lacing. Looks amazing in a glass.
Smell - Dark roasted malts, some coffee, mollasses, chocolate. A little smoke, vanilla and dark fruits. Classic bitter/sour porter armoa
Taste - Really big coffee bean and woody/smoked malt flavor starts off. Has the classic baltic porter flavor for sure, bold malty and alcohol infused. Plenty of alcohol burn in each sip. Theres a nice backbone of sugar and chocolate with a little vanilla that mellows out the bitterness.
Mouthfeel - The coffee and malts nail the tounge and coat it big time. The alcohol comes in and adds warmth. The palate gets alot of malts, coffee and the addition of chocolate and vanilla. The finish is sweet, coffee influenced and alcohol warm.
Overall - This is really good. Reminds me alot of founders breakfast stout but this is something bigger, bolder, thicker and has a real coffee flavor. Very smooth and drinkible, maybe the only flaw would be the alcohol warm. This totally should be made annually. Im starting to learn that when you see a skinny 12 oz can from sixppoint brewing, get excited.
