Poured into a snifter

A: Dark brown with a half finger head that dissipates. Frothy lacing.

S: Coffee strong. I'm awake now.

T: Heavy coffee with light hops and chocolate undertones. A great breakfast/brunch drink.

M: Medium with medium carbonation.

O: For coffee beer fans, this one is a standout. Stout, robust and "wake up" yummy.

Enjoyed this on draft at Aunt Chilada's in Hamden, CT. Served in a snifter because of the high ABV. Appropriately named because you can actually taste all three beans. Very strong. Very tasty.

This was my first time finally trying a Six Point brew. Can't wait to try more varieties.

A: pours a dark brown with about 1 finger of khaki head shows a slight ruby red hue when held to the light good head retention and lacing

S: lots of coffee and chocolate on the nose very roasty also a hint of cream almost like a coffee milk no real hint of hop bitterness

T: bitter up front with coco and coffee slight hint of vanilla there is a hint of alcohol

M: full bodied a little sticky lingers for a good amount of time

O: cery good over all it would be tough to say that the the alcohol on the taste would go away with some aging however the coffee and coco flavor would desipate after a short time

Smell is a good balance of coffee and dark chocolate. Not a huge aroma, this is pretty tame, but really nice. Not a lot of roast, but a little bitterness from coffee and cocoa.

Taste follows, really nice balance between the coffee and chocolate, coffee does not dominate. Not a "big beer" exactly, really suprisingly mellow and tame for a 10% beer. Very tasty.

Booze does not show at all, hard to believe this is 10%. Almost want to say the body is thin, but it doesn't feel thin so much as it just doesn't feel as thick and sweet as a 10% porter usually would.

Appearance: Very dark brown in color with a light tan head rocky head as it thins out thick lacing is left behind.

Aroma: Espresso, cocoa, smokiness, char, almost burnt hops, very dark roasted malts.

Taste: Chocolate malts, espresso, notes of vanilla and bourbon. Very dark roasted hops, char. Very smooth mouthfeel much like melted dark chocolate.

Notes: The alcohol blends in very well and is rather drinkable. A remarkable beer. Cheers.

Pours an opaque deep brown with ruby highlights and a frothy one inch light tan head that dissipates slowly, leaving sheets of lacing.

Chocolate, coffee, and kidney beans form the initial around. Earthy tones are rampant. Roast malt and a bit of dark fruit round out the profile.

Chocolate dominated the initial flavor, slightly sweet, with roast malt kicking in mid palate, and carrying through to a fairly bitter, slightly oaky finish. There's an earthy, kidney bean-like quality throughout, which complements the coffee character well. Dark cherries emerge late.

Body is fairly thick and a touch creamy, with moderate carbonation. Alcohol warmth is slightly overwhelming.

The earthy bean character is undeniable. Oak balances the sweetness well. There's enough chocolate character to keep things in check. Interesting brew.

Poured into a 12 oz snifter, best before July 2013. Pours a dark brown, with a 2 inch tan head, that slowly settles in patchy bubbles, leaving behind plenty of lace. Smell is dark chocolate, coffee, molasses, licorice, and some vanilla. Taste is all of that, vanilla leads the flavors, with some roasted coffee in the finish. Body is maybe medium, plenty of life, on the dry side, and easy drinking for its heft. This is a solid brew. I drank it close to room temperature and it tasted the best of the 4 pack I bought.
