Swung by Fathead's with the family and trep after a disappointing WVU loss to Pittsburgh (eat shit Pitt).
Great bar atmosphere, despite the crowd that had amassed on the Friday afternoon. Huge brick wall lists the beers on tap (~40 when we were there), and the rest of the wall is decorated with brewery stencils. Ordered a Victory Harvest Pils, and then a Sierra Nevada Harvest Ale. Both were served properly.
The largest complaint we had was the service. We put our names in (party of 4) and parties of 6, 2, 2, and 8 were seated ahead of us. The hostess even called our name, only to rescind her offer and give our seats away to another group. Still, the projected half hour wait only took 50 minutes, but it did put a damper on the mood. The saving grace was that our server was good, promptly bringing our food and refilling drinks.
Speaking of food, I had the #5 sandwich in the US (as rated by Maxim magazine)-- Pierogi topping kielbasa sausages. Despite the huge size of the sandwich, I found it to be rather bland and dry. The chips were good, though, and everyone else seemed to enjoy their burgers.
Perhaps the best part about Fathead's is the upstairs beer store--Victory, Oscar Blues, Moylan's, Southern Tier, Green Flash, Rogue, Voodoo, and many many more breweries represented by the well-designed bottle selection. It is on the pricier side, however, as 6 beers (2 bombers, 1 single, 1 Ten Fidy, 2 Gordon) cost me around $25. And that was WITH the mix-n-match discount. Oh well. Still kicking myself for not picking up on some Pilzilla...it wasn't in the fridge, so I couldn't get the discounted price for it.

Great selection and sandwiches, long waits for tables, rude staff, very drunk patrons, and the few times I was there it was mid afternoon ! Lots of kids, basically free roaming kids while there parents get drunk. On guy actually disciplined a kid by picking him up by his foot and holding him up toward the ceiling, while the crowd and staff roared with laughter, not for mature craft beer, shame because the potential is there
