Atmosphere - The establishment is divided into a sports bar and a restaurant. There are several TVs in the bar section for the sports enthusiast, while the restaurant area is far enough away to provide some quite eating time, if desired.

Also, the building was originally built as a bank. For this reason, the restaurant area walls are all glass, which is cool.

Quality - There's nothing fancy going on in here, which is how I like my brewpubs. Wooden chairs and tables provide good comfort.

Service - Very good. My wife and I stopped in here once on he way to the movies, explained to the waitress that we only had about half an hour, and they rushed our food and got us out of there with time to spare. I’ve had three visits now and always received good service.

Selection – They have a decent selection of beer, but the beers to drink here are the ales brewed onsite. You can read the reviews, but overall they are excellent. They also sell a few single malts if you’re into that.

Food – The sandwiches are good. My favorite is the spicy Cajun chicken sandwich (chased with an IPA). I don’e care much for the pizza, though, mainly because they mix yellow cheese in with the mozzarella. I also had an order of beer brats that seemed a bit overcooked.

Update 05/26/04 – I have had such a depressing string of bad service experiences here now (four times and counting at various times of the day) that I’m changing the Service rating from 4.5 to 3.0.

Update 12/24/04 – I thought I’d keep up my original review just so you can see how badly this place has gone downhill.

They used to make some terrific beers here on-site. A cookie-cutter pub owner who has a few other dumps around time bought them out. The brewers had to flee to Eastern Washington where they now have set-up shop. The beer selection is straight macro.

The food has gone to hell. I’ve recently had everything from pizza to sandwiches to burgers to English-style bangers. They have all been bland and overcooked. The service has reached new lows. It’s not that cute “f-you” service that you get in NYC. It’s the “we really don’t care if you get good service because we have more swill-drinking regulars than we know what to do with,” kind of bad service.

This place now officially sucks.

My girlfriend and I went there for dinner on a weekday night. The brewpub is clearly divided into two sections: a bar and a restaurant style seating area. The seating area was fairly nicely furnished and was fairly quiet. The bar is where the attention was placed by the owners. Nice vaulted ceilings with plenty of seating, a large TV and games. The food selection and quality was good and the meals/beers well priced. Overall a nice experience.

(Update) Re-visited and had some of the beers on tap at the bar (as opposed to the restaurant section). Overall the beers are getting better everytime I visit. Definitely worth a look.
