Notes/Commercial Description:
White Ale's are Belgian style beers, often refered to as "Wit" beer. Our version of this classic style is a wonderful spicy brew, infused with orange peel and coriander spices. It has a crisp refreshing flavor and a slight 'white' haze from the large percentage of wheat used in the mash.

The Millstream Brewery, is very creative and skilled it seems.

Bottle poured into weizen

Three finger soapy, off-white head!

Hazy gold color, heavy carbonation

Smells of orange peel, coriander, and candi-sugar

Tastes: sweet orange peel, coriander, wheat malt, with a bitter finish

Mouthfeel: thin, but not too watery like many witbiers

Millstream is a great brewery, that has a lot to offer. I am pleased with the witbier, but I want the hefeweizen!

Had this one at a local Amana Colony restaurant with lunch.

Very pale yellow body, cloudy; very thin white head although it does leave rings of foam on the glass. Light, dry grass aroma with a very faint citrus component. Taste has a delicate graininess; grapefruit and faint lemon notes. Light bodied; crisp, clean, and very dry.

A tough beer to love or hate. It's light and delicate all around, perhaps a little to much so, yet a few other sips brings out a subtle intrigue of flavor. On whole, it's fair enough if you're not looking for anything other than a lightweight, relatively dry beer.

A: The beer is very hazy light yellow in color and has a moderate amount of visible carbonation. It poured with a short bright white head that died down, leaving a patch of bubbles in the center of the glass, a collar around the edge, and a thin layer of bubbles in between.
S: Light aromas of wheat are present in the nose along with some hints of orange peels.
T: The taste is similar to the smell, except that the orange peels are stronger and linger through the finish. Only slight hints of coriander are detectable.
M: It feels a bit more than light-bodied on the palate and has a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: This is an easy drinking witbier and has some refreshing properties. It would make for a good summer beer.

P- Thanks to my buddy Matt for this brew!

A- sun yellow with a murky unfiltered look as usual with a wit. minimal head and no staying power. minimal lacing as well.

S- Coriander spice and pepper with orange peel and hints of pepper(?). very nicely done for a wit.

F- the coriander comes out more as does the yeast. Pepper and orange peel complement each other well in this brew.

M- spicy but light bodied even though the yeast comes through in the mouth. The wit follows you all the way down to your stomach.

O- one of the best wits I have had. the flavors complement each other well and the smoothness is remarkable.
