Notes/Commercial Description:
White Ale's are Belgian style beers, often refered to as "Wit" beer. Our version of this classic style is a wonderful spicy brew, infused with orange peel and coriander spices. It has a crisp refreshing flavor and a slight 'white' haze from the large percentage of wheat used in the mash.

12 ounce stubby bottle poured into a chalice.

A: Hazy golden hue with a thin white head that does not retain very well. Darker than most beers of the same style.

S: Coriander and a touch of orange peel on the nose, along with some grainy malt and Belgian yeast character.

T: Biscuity malt with honey undertones, followed by a a fair amount of coriander and citrus. Spices are not, however, overpowering. Yeast lends just a touch of fruitiness, with light hops drying out the finish.

Notes: Light in body, with a very smooth mouthfeel. Spice is well-balanced with malt and hops. Overall a very refreshing beer, and one that would be quite good on a warm Summer day. After the last beer I sampled from Millstream, I'm quite impressed.

P- Thanks to my buddy Matt for this brew!

A- sun yellow with a murky unfiltered look as usual with a wit. minimal head and no staying power. minimal lacing as well.

S- Coriander spice and pepper with orange peel and hints of pepper(?). very nicely done for a wit.

F- the coriander comes out more as does the yeast. Pepper and orange peel complement each other well in this brew.

M- spicy but light bodied even though the yeast comes through in the mouth. The wit follows you all the way down to your stomach.

O- one of the best wits I have had. the flavors complement each other well and the smoothness is remarkable.

A very light yellow pour with a light head when poured. I followed typical unfiltered white ale instructions and only poured 2/3 of the beer into the glass, then swirled to stir up the sentiment and finished the pour. A light citrus taste, with mild spice and malt flavor. Very light and with a bunch of carbonation. A great brew for a warm spring or summer day. Refreshing.
