A decent if unassuming Pale Ale. A good front porch on a summer Sunday beer. A little bitter and piney on the hop end and not what you would call smooth, but with a fairly sturdy backbone to carry it through. I've had several of the Millstream beers and found them all to be somewhere between okay and awesome.

Just about as middle-of-the-road old school East Coast, bitter, pine-y IPA as you can get. Almost assaulting in its harshness and bitterness, "balanced" by a borderline Amber Ale malt backbone.
Still, no glaring flaws in the beer, would have liked it to be more dry, although this would likely have accentuated the bitterness issues.

Reddish-amber body with a thick, creamy, bone-white head; rings of lacing left on the cup. Malty sweet aroma with a touch of spice; dark bread. Taste has a mild sweetness with a faint peppery kick; decent hop bitterness that mellows things out at the finish. Medium bodied; seems a bit coarse and effervescent.
Nicely balanced, leaning towards a peppery/dry grass bitterness. Easy drinking and goes down well on a breezy, warm and humid Amana Colony afternoon.

A GOOD beer. This beer has a Englishy, bready, earthy, and toasty malt back bone, enhanced with a generous (but not aggressive) amount of very piney hoppiness. Pours unfiltered/cloudy with orangish-caramel bronze in color. The bitterness from the hops lingers well after each sip. Liberally hopped, although a bit short of most IPAs, but more hop bitterness than a standard pale ale. A malt - lover and hop - lovers low-key, but happy medium.
