This beer pours a clear pale straw yellow color, with a very thin white head. The head fades very fast, leaving no lace.

This beer has a very mild, hard to pick out aroma. It smells very mildly spicy. A slight grainy aroma is also present. It reminds me of an adjunct lager.

This beer tastes like it smells. Very subtle. Some grains and spices come out but they are hard to detect, and harder to distinguish. It tastes slightly like an adjunct lager, but not as much as it smells.

This beer is crisp. It leaves a very mild spicy aftertaste. It is highly carbonated.

I think this beer might make a decent session beer. The low alcohol makes it easy to drink. I think it could have some more flavor though.

Overall: Thank you BuckeyeNation for giving me the chance to try this beer. I didnt hate it, but it didnt do anything for me. It just isnt my style. I guess I fall into the trendy category since I prefer more extreme beers.

Pours a meduim gold color with a finger of white head that quickly dissapears.

That aroma puzzled me, I can't really place it, a tiny bit wheaty and a bunch of somehting else. Weird.

The taste is a bit hoppy, leaves a somewhat sour aftertaste at the back of the tongue.

I'm not overly impressed with this one. Millstream has plenty of good brews, this falls into the mediocre range.

Pours a brilliant gold (deep straw) in color and with ample visible carbonation. A medium pour produces an off-white head of short duration and with minimal lacing. Sweetish, bready nose, loaded with pale and wheat malt notes. There's almost no hop profile, but there i a bit of spicey tanginess. Soft, mildy-sweet, and bready complexion on the first sip. Some spiciness (lager yeast, interesting) and a touch of metallic tang, and a barely evident bitterness. Bready malt characteristic lingers nicely, as does the metallic tang. In other words yes, the metallic quality in a beer can sometimes be pleasant! Mouthfeel is good, smooth and creamy, with good carbonation. Closer to medium-bodied, but not too-heavy to session. Lightly tangy and with a very light citrus quality, a blend of orange and lemon. Medium-dry finish, alhough some will find it a bit sweet. This is a bit like a fuller-bodied version of what Leinekugel's Honey Weiss would taste like without the addition of corn syrup and "honey". A very agreeable beer, and definitely sessionable given today's 90+ degree heat.

Part of a sampler case, brought back direct from the brewery at Amana, Iowa.
Pours a straw yellow color, slightly hazy, with a thin white head. Fresh smells of wheat and some citrus and lemon. Decent pale wheat ale flavor, with citrus and nice wheat taste. Light body, well carbonated with a crisp finish. A great hot-weather, easy drinking brew.

Thanks to hero27 for the beer.
Pours a straw yellow. No head or lacing. Some carbonation bubbles rose to the top.
The aroma is pleasent enough, but you really have to sniff hard to get anything. Smell is grainy with a hint of lemon.
This is a very refreshing beer. Grainy wheat bread. The hint of lemon in the flavor really adds a zest not often found in this style. I also get some gum flavors. Reminds me of Juicy Fruit.
Mouthfeel is thin and smooth. Par for the style.
This was a great refreshing beer to have after a softball game. Much better option than BMC, and a good cross-over beer.

This was poured from the bottle into a pint glass. It has a straw color and is very clear, unusually so for a wheat beer. The head dissipated quickly into a small lacing. It has a malty scent, definitely wheat malt in there. The flavor is, as expected, very rich with wheat malt. It's balanced well enough, but slightly sweet. It has a medium-light body with moderate carbonation.

Overall, it's a decent American wheat beer. There are very little American wheat beers I'm fond of however. This stands a little above average.

Pours a golden yellow color, nice carbonation, a fizzy head which left quickly, not much lacing afterwards. The nose is of malts, slight hops, spices, and slight grassy tones. The taste is sweet/malty, slightly bitter. Light-Medium body. Drinkable, not a bad brew, would be great for a hot summer day. Thanks to BuckEyeNation for the chance to check this one out.

Thanks to hero27.

A - Pours a straw yellow with a thin white head.

S - Apple and lemon with a spicy wheat malt backbone.

T - Green apple and lemon. Spicy with a wheaty pale malty finish.

M - Light and crisp.

D - Very refreshing. This would be a good lawn mower beer.

Thanks go out to BuckeyeNation for providing me the oppurtunity to try this one. This beer pours a golden straw color, which was actually very clear for a wheat beer. I didn't pour it very vigorously, and found there to be no head to really speak of and no lacing at all.

Smell had a mild citrus aroma that I found to be very pleasant. Overall a light and somewhat airy feel to the aroma. I think this is one of the better 'American style' wheat beers. I generally find them to be fairly bland, but this one had a nice citrus flavor that was not overbearing. A fairly strong malty finish rounded out the flavor nicely.

The maltiness in the back of this beer gives it a heavier feel. It seems a little bit weighted down. Overall I found this to be a beer I could have drank quite a few of. I would definitely drink this again if I had the chance.

Golden. You can almost see through it. Less than one inch head, poured vigorously.

Does not have the prominent beer smell of other Millstreams. Weak and muted. A little spicing, wheat and malt.

The taste is crisp and clean. Not as thin as macro lagers, with prominent wheat flavor. Conservative hops.

For slaking thirst quickly.

A good pour brings a bad head...it just about disappeared as soon as the beer was poured. A glassy golden-yellow color with very mellow bubbles. Far from impressive-looking.

A sweet aroma brings grass/hay freshness, caramel corn and pear sweetness. Would be nice if the flavors came out more, you really have to pull it in to get anything, but what's there is nice.

The sip delivers a distinctive pear flavor with lingering sweetness in the finish...not exactly dry, not sticky either. The wheat comes through in a fresh, bready sort of flavor, and there's nothing here that's offending or "off". Really solid.

Mouthfeel is on the thin side, with moderate carbonation. Does well enough considering the style and its flavors.

This one wins purely on flavor, when you're in the mood for a lighter lager that doesn't resort to typical macro-lager weakness.

Nice golden amber color. No real head to speak of. Low aroma-some sweet, toasted malt. Mellow, malty flavor-while it doesnt stand out it has a nice, crisp, almost citrusy sort of tone. Decent body. A good beer overall-perfect for a hot summer day or a plate of spicy wings. Thanks buckeyenation.

12oz brown bottle, Feb notched on label.

Sparkling 18K gold. Noisy, fizzy head that sounds like soda. Bone white bubbles quickly build and recede, leaving a short ring. A handful of carbonation streams pierce the surface. Light caramel and wheat notes rise, but on the subdued side. The aroma is minimal. The taste starts with some light sweet malt and a touch of caramel which then gives way to a slightly fruity wheat component. The finish is moderately crisp and has a distinct lageresque tone. There is an apple skin note underneath it as well. The crispness lingers just a brief instant. Light body with just enough carbonation to keep it from feeling flat. Not bad, but not overly distinctive either.

Q. Is this an All malt Lager if it has Wheat? Confused on style.

Snow white, highly charged head over a pale gold body with fine carbonation.

Devoid of any particular Aroma.

The taste also is nondescript.. A light sweetness.

Clean, refreshing and decent mouthfeel- though that sounds like an American Macro.

Drinkable, not my favorite Millstream offering by a longshot.

The appearance is kinda crappy, the head is gone, the color doesn't seem consistant or appable.

The smell is a little sweet with a smell like lager and nothing else.

Taste hits like water and doesn't get any better. I don't think I'll even finish this, pretty dissapointing.

Mouthfeel has no carbonation that I can tell with my mouth, but there are a few little bubbles once in a while as you look at it.

I will never have this ever again.

12 ounce bottle. Millstream Wheat Lager has very pale yellow color with some tiny suspended particles. No head. Clean malty aroma. Light hops. Not an intense aroma, but still good. The flavor is light with crisp wheat and some hop spiciness. Just a bit of citrus flavor. Finishes with a light honey flavor and more hops. Small bubble carbonation. Mouthfeel is light to medium. I enjoyed this beer. It's a good choice for when you want a simple, crisp lager.

Pale piss yellow. Very slightly hazed. Small ivory white head. Little lace. Decent aroma of husky and grainy malt attributes. Sweet taste. Kind of adjunct based it seems with corn the main player. A slight dryness on the finish, indicating the presence of some hops. Body is medium-full. Carbonation is on the low side. This gives a bit of a syrupy feel. Pretty average stuff here.

Thanks big ol ZAP!

My first forray into the Millstream family..

Golden color...with a big fluffy 1/2 inch head....

Nose is soft wheat crackery...some bready Helles like notes too..

Body is light-to-medium...very creamy and rounded...not as crisp as I expected but much tastier....a nice light wheat bread flavor...just a slight lemongrass hint too....

Overall, this is better than I expected...has a nice little wheat flavor and is highly drinkable....while it's still winter in Northern Minnesota I would imagine this would pour nicely during the summer..and at 4.2% a person could drink damn near a 1/4 barrel by themselves if you wanted to....nothing jaw dropping about it but a nice enough wheat lager....

12 oz bottle pours a clear golden color with a small white head that leaves some lacing in my glass. Grassy, grainy aromas, bready, fruity flavors with a mild sweetness. Light bodied with a nice crisp, carbonated mouthfeel. Very light and very refreshing.

Beer pours a filtered golden color with a quickly dissipating head. Lacing lasts throughout. A slightly grainy and hoppy aroma. Taste has a slight flavor of banana, hops are more prominent than typical wheat beers. Great carbonation and light to medium mouthfeel. I could drink these all night. This is not what I usually look for in wheat beers and am usually skeptical of american style wheat beers, but I really enjoyed this one and will be coming back to it again.

Let me start off by saying that this is not a twist off cap. It may look like one, but if you can twist it off, you must be a Master Of The Universe. I actually ripped my shirt trying to take it off. Sheesh.
Pours mostly clear, an attractive golden hue. Closer inspection reveals a cadre of floaties manning the base. Minimal head, mostly a scattered, misty coating. Smells like grape nuts with dried bananas. Grainy, more a straight pale lager than what I expect from a wheat beer. Grainy malt dominates the flavor, remaining clean and unadulterated throughout. Perhaps a touch of arid banana? Vague wheaty sourness blends with meek hop bitterness in the finish, cutting off clean and dry. Just a little grape-nut lingers on. No real hop flavor, just a percieved bitterness. A bit of grain husk, chalk and saw dust, with a powdery mouthfeel. Robust carbonation.
I don't think I'd ever be puttering around the house on a Saturday afternoon and think, "Golly, I wish I had some Millsteam Wheat Lager", but I'd have more than one if a buddy brought it on a fishing trip.

yellow n' beery from a 12oz bottle. a steady but scarsely populated highway of bubbles. no head once the initial pour has left... some collection of foam around the edges.

smell is light but sweet with malt.. some tart fruit as well.. maybe fresh apple? light and interesting.

goes down real easy and tastes pretty good. big clean nuttiness makes up the majority of the flavor here. some lactose in the finish, as well as mild banana wheat and some lemon. overall lagery goodness though, and i wish i had three more. the best beer by far i've had from this brewery.
