Sampled last night on 10/15/15. Comes in a 12 ounce bottle that I picked up yesterday at the Hy-Vee in Plattsmouth, NE as part of a 'Make your own 6" for $8.99. Picked up 2 of them actually. No date on bottle but the reviews here were from 2012 & 2013. Bottle looks exactly the same as in the picture. So maybe Millstream brought it back (?). Bottle chilled down to 36 degrees F in my beer cooler and poured in to a "CHEERS-BOSTON" handled-glass stein.

Brew pours a reddish-golden in color with a thin white head. Some spotty lacing was seen that stuck to the edges of the glass when sipped. A good amount of bubbles are seen rising up form the bottom of the glass after the slow pour. Aroma is of sweet malts with a hint of raspberry. Pretty much is said for the taste as well with a very light hint of spice. Not sweet at all but actually has a slight tart and bitter finish. It's a decent brew. Lighter-side of medium bodied with good carbonation.

The beer was served in a 12-oz glass.
Appearance: Very cloudy gold in color with about 1/2" of white foam and a fair amount of lacing.
Smell: Lots of fruit, raspberry, apricot, peach. No hops detected and not much of a malt aroma either. Just a very potent fruit aroma.
Taste: This beer was definitely all about fruit--lots of raspberries as the name implies, but I also tasted lots of apricot and a slight bit of banana in the background. And, as expected from the smell, there was little in the way of hops.
Mouthfeel: Very nice mouthfeel. It had a huge amount of body, just bordering on syrupy.
Overall: Not bad. It would make a great dessert beer.

This brew bears little resemblance to most Tripels I've had. There's a deep golden hue, slightly hazed, but the head is non-existent with only the occasional slow bubble arising from below. Where's the carbonation? The first smell makes me think of cheap malt liquor. I get a hint of sweetness and faint raspberry notes, but otherwise no other esters/fruit/yeast or anything resembling a Belgian Ale.

The taste has some intense candied maltiness, and sort of an artificial raspberry twist. It's suprisingly alcoholic and burns a bit at the finish. I'm not liking it much at all. Mouthfeel is a bit syrupy with too thin a carbonation for style.

I can't really say anything good about this beer at all. It's like they made a terrible Tripel and thought to add some cough syrup-like artificial raspberry flavor to boot. I can't believe they could have used real raspberries in this. I recommend you stick to German styles Millstream.

Poured from a 12 oz bottle into a Unibroue tulip.

A: Pours a hazy orange color with 1/2 finger of off-white head. Some retention and lace.

S: Sweet malt, good spicy tripel esters, light raspberry underneath. Quite pleasant.

T: Spicy, sweet bready malts up front quickly transition to a flash of raspberry on the finish. Pepper, raspberry and light fruits linger on the aftertaste.

M: On the light side of a medium mouthfeel with a little syrup that coats the tongue.

O: I like this. Wasn't sure what to expect as Belgian styles are not typical for Millstream. It's a bit of an oddball, but still quite enjoyable.
