Brazilian wheat beer brewed with honey of pale ocher/orange color with a nice foam but without a good texture.
Smell is malty, easy to feel the wheat aromas; honey is quite evident too; some banana, orange and apple notes.
Taste is malty and honey too, but not exagerated sweet. The bad thing here is that it becomes acid after a while; fruit notes are not evident here.
Mouthfeel is awesome.. a nice body and a great carbonation.

600m bottle. Decanted into a curved pilsner glass.
Appearance: Looks like crystallized honey. Hazed copper. The skilled bartender worked up all the yeast on the bottom of the bottle, and poured a nice billowy head, but it dissipated fairly quickly.
Smell: Wheat and light sulfur. There’s a little honey in the nose, but you really have to look for it.
Taste: I just left a 35C sweatbox, so this is as refreshing as anything I’ve ever had. But objectively, it’s got a nice wheaty taste and the honey comes thru late. It’s got a little caramel, a little banana, some bubblegum, and it finishes fairly quickly. The flavor is dialed back a bit, but I guess that’s not unusual for the origin and style.
Mouthfeel: Very thin. Not as much carbonation as I would expect.
Overall: I really needed a beer and stumbled into this one. It probably wouldn’t be quite as good if it wasn’t ice cold, but it’s much better than the sweet corny lagers I’ve been drinking all week. Thank you, Colorado.

Orange hazy color with lots of head with good retention.
Predominant honey aroma and wheat. Honey is less present in the taste, but still there with hints of fruits and citrics. Honey comes back in the aftertaste.
Light body with strong carbonation.
Super refreshing not overly sweet, drinkability at its best, above regular Weiss biers. On the other hand lacks complexity, however why not have both types available?

600ml bottle served in a pokal glass.

A: Pours a hazy orange color forming a medium aired bubbled head. Medium retention and some lacings left

S: Sweet on the nose. Sweet malts, wheat and honey, basically

T: Follows the nose. Sweet upfront. Sweet malts and wheat. Strong notes of honey. Pleasant beer. Very mild bitterness by the style. Not a classic German Weissbier. A more "American style" wheat beer, IMHO

M: Light to medium body. Good carbonation. Sweet and malty aftertaste

O: Good drinkability. Really easy-drinking. One of the best Brazilian breweries

600 ml bottle
VAL23JUN12
described as a "claraweiss"

A- This beer has a hazy deep orange body with a gentle carbonation that supports a sticky white head for a good bit.

S- There is a spicy almost cardamom quality to the wildflower mead aroma with a touch of fruitiness.

T- The light crisp soft pale malt flavor has a touch of cinnamon quality to the hone mead taste in the finish. There is some bread hints and yeast notes that in the flavor but it is pretty soft.

M- This beer has a medium mouthfeel with a gentle carbonation and no alcohol heat.

O- This is my first beer with honey from Africanized bees and I like the character of the American wheat beer. It is soft enough to let the mead flavors dominate but has a enough flavor to add depth.

More commonly known as `Colorado Appia´, this is a wheat ale with a kiss of honey. 600 ml stubby bottle...hey, what happened to the pull-off tops? On to the beer:

This beer has the body of the usual hefeweizen, a cloudy blonde colored beer, but with a tint of orange. It leaves a few traces of lacing on the glass. The aroma is dull. There´s the honey, but it only arrvies until later in the journey. Otherwise, there´s nothing.

The taste goes down the same path as the taste. There´s very little taste until later, when mild honey and very light biscuit notes take place. It also leaves a seltzer taste as well. The body is on the spot though.

I shared the bottle with a couple friend, and I´m glad I did. Not only they they like this beer, but I was bored by this. Then, I read the bottle label, which recommends a garnish of either lemon or orange. One can find better wheat beer options in Brazil.

A - Hazy Orange, Honey-colour

S - Wheat and honey! some may think it's too honey, but I simply love the aroma

T - Bit Sweety, can be compared to other weissbiers, but its honey taste is well inserted right here, the honey aftertaste is good

M - Feels light and sweet, the carbonation is good and so do the alcohol I can't really feel it

D - Great drinkabilly, at least in 3 bottles, after that it may not be that good anymore since it's a bit sweety

O - I love Colorado's beer, you may suspect my opinion, but is a great beer, I really recommend if you're in Sao Paulo / Brazil
