12oz can, unknown date.

Pours hazy red/copper/amber with a one finger off white head that holds a good cap but only leaves a few short-lived spots of lacing.

Aroma is some caramel, brown sugar, vanilla, grassy, floral hops, bready and yeasty, touch of citrus and fruity esters, good strength.

Flavor is somewhat fruity, pears and apples, some citrus, caramel, toffee, bready malt, fairly sweet, low bitterness. Sweet finish.

Mouthfeel is thin to medium bodied, low to medium carbonation.

Very good Amber Ale, but not as robust as Bell's excellent Amber Ale.

Appearance has a darker amber color supporting a healthy head leaving less than fair lace. Smell has a nice sweet malt aroma with minimal hop aroma. Taste has the same sweet malt with more of a aftertaste of hop rather than upfront. Mouthfeel is a light medium with good carbonation.

I'll call this an easy drinking, middle of the road, amber. Carries all the characteristics that you'd want in an amber. Consistent on things too. If I were the type to drink the same beer more than once, this would be a good candidate. Unfortunately it isn't distributed in my neck of the woods.

Can > Mason Pint

A - Pours hazy amber color, big 2.5 finger of white head, medium lacing.
S - Smells of caramels, some pepper, a little floral, its all very faint.
T - Bitter sweet malts, pepper, some weird oniony flavor, a little earthy hop tone, a little sour fruits.
M - Bitter and dry, do not like the aftertaste.
O - Bleh, not a fan, there's a lot of weird flavors going on in this beer, and I'm not sure what they are.

Snagged a can for a buck at my local House of 1,000 beers

A - Look is a clear dark amber brown with a solid inch and a half of opaque colored head that sticks around for a bit. Lacing seems good.
S - Smells is rather malty with some caramel and biscuit malts meets some citrus hops.
T - Quite a smooth red ale. Rather sweet malts with a little bit of tea and herbal flavors but equally matched with citrus hops and some caramel in the finish. Not bad.
M - medium bodied drinks kind of heavy but sessionable I guess.

Overall it didn't seem to old I guess they marked it down from 3 bucks to make room for fresh craft. Overall quite a good tasting beer.

Copper color with a thick two fingers head with good retention and leaving lots of laces.
Aroma of sweet biscuit malt, caramels, guaraná and vanilla.
Very nice fruity, herbal and earthy flavor with citric notes. Hints of pepper, grass, green apples and lemon. Dry and bitter aftertaste.
Light body with perfect carbonation.
As other Calderas, it is very well balanced. Huge drinkability, I could spend a whole afternoon refilling those.
