Walking in the door, you think this is a straight up liquor store (and it is) with your typically poor selection of beer. However, toward the back, next to the cooler is a shelf full of a surprising number of excellent local brews. Build your own 6 pack as well. They had a fridge with 6 packs, but I only wanted a couple from 1. Not a problem, we'll put the remainder on the shelf. Very friendly customer service that definitely knew their product. If/when I'm back in Dover, I'll will be coming back here.

Selection is good. Most breweries that sell in Delaware are available here. Great selection of local brews. Besides employee at checkout no help at all. No mix six option, not many bombers and a lot of stuff out of date. The other big red flag is most beer is stored warm with limited cooler space. I will go back due to lack of choices in Dover but beware of old beer and hop forward beers stored warm.

Mr. B's has a good selection of micro brews for stores in the area, and they are somewhat knowledgeable about the subject, however they do tend to increase prices for hard to get brews (the doubled msrp of 9.99 for life and limb making it 19.99 a bottle) which kind of annoys me but such is life. They are usually the only ones in the Dover area to get specialty beer such as one time releases, collaborations and such. They have a really good selection of DFH and Stone in particular. . . . . . . . .

Well, I finally stopped in here after passing it many times. I picked up some DFH Palo Santo Maron for myself and some SA Cherry Wheat for the wife. Mr. B's has a decent selection of DFH, pretty much all the Sam Adams in sixers, some Victory, Troegs, Sierra Nevada, and Stone. I didn't see any bombers of Stone, only IPA, Pale Ale, and Oaked AB in sixers. They had some DFH 750ml and their WWS and 120 Minute. I also saw some dusty import four packs and some Chimay, but that's about it. Granted, for the area it's a pretty good selection, but I wasn't that impressed overall. The service was barely there...one guy passed me about 3 times and never asked if I needed help and the lady working the register seemed like I was bothering her. She didn't even ask if I wanted a bag....just tossed my receipt on the counter and walked away. Hmmph, well if that's the way you want to treat customers I'll take my business elsewhere.

People seem to rave about this place, and it was the best place in town up until a year or two ago, when Dover Liquor Warehouse (no beerfly yet -- it's on route 13) opened. Still nothing bad about this place. Occasionally a warm beer in the back in the shelves will be rather old. Usually has a decent selection of Dogfish Heads, though I don't think they move many.

Still a fair selection of beers, nothing too exotic. In terms of belgians, they may have Delerium Tremmens but not much else. The cold beers are dominated by macro's.

Staff doesn't know much about about the beers in the back, and I don't think any of them try the good stuff.

Prices okay, pretty average by Delaware standards, which are good for most city folk coming on down to Dover.

This place was a godsend the last time I got stuck going to Delaware. My friends and I must have driven around Dover for a half hour before we found a liquor store worth a damn. I was going to drink with a bunch of Venezuelans so most of my purchase was Scotch but I also picked up some Guinness and Yuengling. I was on a Guinness kick and had never had Yuengling before. One of my buddies grabbed some Dogfish Head brews, which he shared with me. This was also my first experience with that brewery and for that Im very thankful to Mr. B’s.

This is probably the best package store for craft beer in Dover. Walk in, go straight to the back and there is the beer cooler. An impressive amount of the six pack coolers are dedicated to imports and micros, Victory, Troegs, DFH, many more. Across from the shelf are warm beers, this is where the majority of the belgians sit, they also had a decent selection of Unibroue. There are lots of cases and mixed cases of micros here too, the prices on which are very reasonable some being less than $25! This was the only place around (counting State Line) that had any DFH 90 minute which relieved me greatly. If you're in the area and craving some craft brew, this is your place to stop.
