Just an outstanding combo of a taproom with a deep list, enough variety, with something for juuusssst about everyone, AND a great bottle shop next door? Wish this was legal in Colorado! Love Belmont Station, service was excellent, informed, and just boy-howdy good. Food is for the record a food truck out back, but JESUS those burgers and fries were just top notch. Please come here hungry and thirsty. The lower "vibe" aspect is harder to explain; people weren't all that friendly seated at the bar until later, but did make at least one interesting connection after my (*cough*)th beer at the bar. Just an outstanding stop and better than have to Lyft/Max all around PDX to get a sense of the brewing scene in Portland/OR/WA in general. Can't wait to visit again.

Top notch beer top as store is open to 10 pm and the bar next door gets beer made for them, harder to find taps. Good service and selection. A commitment to craft.

Stopped in on the way out of town. Packed to the gills, regional and international beers. Tap room on the side, for more sampling. Very well curated selection.

Not gonna lie, I'm bias. Worked here for three years and loved almost every second of it. This place is hands down the best beer bar in Portland. Sit down, have a pint, take in the history, and have a cheese steak from out back while you're at it. Things could be worse.

My first stop in Portland 18/8/17
Thought I got us lost at first because it was a fairly residential neighbourhood but here we are. Selection is ridiculous, I did my research before showing up and still took a while. They got choices no doubt there, staff were great and helpful at every turn. My wife sat in the bar while I shopped, two dozen or so taps kept her busy while I shopped. Everything was as expected other then all the stock blocking the shelves, annoying for sure as I may have missed out on some hidden (literary) gems but that being said I blew my budget in minutes. About as good as it gets really other then the stacks of stock blocking the shelves.....

This place seems to be a mecca for more sought after beers. There seems to be a good selection of higher dollar bombers and a general focus on the higher end beers. This helps their selection, though I am not sure about the stores selection of "shelf beers." I wasn't really looking for shelf beers on my visit, so that worked for me.

The quality of beer was pretty high, given my perception of their focus, and their selection of the beers described is fairly extensive. I also witnessed multiple customers being helped in a very friendly manner by the store staff. Our experience at the tasting room was equally pleasant.

This is the second time I'd been to the store, and was very happy with my finds both times.

This was the first stop after landing at PDX yesterday before heading out to the Mount Hood area for the week.

Vibe was OK, store is fairly small considering the inventory carried.

Quality was excellent, top notch regional and national brews available.

Service was awesome from the two guys I dealt with. THe first guy, despite how busy they were, took time with myself and other customers to answer questions and provide recommendations.
The second guy who checked us out provided restaurant recommendations and provided lively conversation about the general scene in Oregon.

Selection was superb with a focus on Oregon brewers but top notch regional and national craft brewers were well represented.

This is a can't miss spot to hit, especially if you out of the northwest region of the country!

Great bottle with a really good NW / West Coast selection. Very helpful staff as well. The adjoining bar had a great tap list and a good vibe. Definitely worth a stop if you are in town.

Vibe was good and waitstaff really know their products on the bottle side and tap room. Service equally as good with recommendations and beer info provided when needed. Selection on bottle side is good (but not stellar in my opinion) but tap side is average (one plus was Pliny the Elder on tap for $5.50/pint).

So many bottles! And in such an orderly, well curated selection. This is how an amazing bottle shop should be--a wide range of bottles at all different price points, easy to find and navigate, with plenty of cold storage to boot. What makes them even better is this:
I came back for something I picked up early in my trip that my hosts drank, accidentally. It had sold out elsewhere. While the bar was still open the bottle shop had closed minutes before my arrival. The manager was able to grab my selection and then ring me up at the bar. Score! Day saved.

This place is always so fun to visit. I've lived in Portland 15 years & have been deeply connected with its beer serving establishments. This place is top shelf in my opinion. Great selection of beer from around the world in the store & an excellent selection of rotating taps at the pub. Great neighborhood hang out vibe & a beer lovers heaven. Outdoor tables available & the sandwiches have always been good. I love this place! Clearance beers for cheap & discounts if you pay with cash at the store. Mixed six packs are allowed, which is way cool. Go visit if you are in Portland.

Can't wait to get back here! When I was in PDX with the girlfriend we made a stop at Belmont Station before dinner so we only stayed for about 15 minutes and I didn't get to really spend time at the bar area. For an out-of-towner, the selection was almost overwhelming because of how much high quality local OR beer was available. Only in town for a couple more nights, I grabbed a 4-pack of Block 15 Sticky Hands and a bottle of Crux Half Hitch Mosaic DIPA. The Sticky Hands was a recommendation by the employee who was more than happy to help me look for a good local beer.

Always really liked this place. The one spot EVERYONE from Portland or visiting Portland seems to mention. Been there a couple times and I've never been disappointed. I love going to the Beer Cafe first to grab a couple samples or a pint before shopping. Tap list is solid top to bottom, representing a lot of different styles and breweries. I like how you can order different sizes to try a bunch or just focus on one beer. Food is tasty too! The bottle shop has an amazing selection that might be a bit pricey. Still, you can get a lot of great brews in one place so it's worth it. A great venue to visit or frequent.

Was very excited to visit this shop on a recent trip to Portland. Had heard many good things. Definitely a decent selection, but I wasn't blow away. Prices were a bit high for sure. I would go back, but not spectacular.

Stopped in to the bottle shop during a recent visit to Portland. Found several beers on my list, in addition to several more I wanted to try. I don't know if their selection is better than most, but they certainly have a lot of different beers. It's on my list next trip to Portland.

Hands down THE best shop in Portland. Only possible gripe is some of the selection is scattered, but if you bring in your list (they have a list online updated every Tues and Fri), the staff knows exactly where to find all of the beers. Cash price is cheaper than debit. Cream of the crop in the city.

I visited Belmot Station recently on a vacation through the Pacific Northwest. This review is for the bottle shop only.

V: Pretty standard bottle shop.

Ser: Average. No one acknowledged me during my visit until I was at the register.

Sel: Good, but nothing too unique during my visit.

Overall, a very good shop that didn't seem to have anything unique while I was there. However, if I lived in Portland this would be a regular stop.
