My last day in Oregon, but first day in Portland. Having heard so much this was my first stop with my wife after we drove into town. Lunch time on a Saturday. A couple of people in the bar/restaurant side. Pretty decent crowd perusing the bottle shop. Ordered lunch and finally my first pint of PtE on tap. Excellent selection of 15 or so taps. Off the top of my head I remember PtE, Upright 4, La Folie, a Bear Republic offering, and a fair number of other regionals. My Pliny was served in a proper pint at a good temp. Lunch was quickly served. I had a decent club sandwich and my wife had a hummus plate. Food was decent, but nothing great. Finished up lunch with a 10oz serving of Upright 4. Very enjoyable bar experience. Then went to peruse the bottle shop...damn, good stuff. Tons of NW regionals including Pelican, HUB, Cascade, Midnight Sun, Laughing Buddha, Deschutes and many more. Also remember Cantillon, Russian River, New Belgium, Dupont and many others US micros and Euro imports. They also had the best glassware selection I have ever seen. Service was friendly but they were busy so I did not have a chance to chat with any of them. Overall a great place in a cool neighborhood. Good stuff.
