Bottleworks is awesome. I like the vibe of this place; it's in an old brick building with creaky wood floors and music blaring.
You can tell that the location was picked with the idea that sunlight is the enemy, and that it's not welcomed here. Almost everything is in coolers that are very dimly lit.
The selection is dominated by West Coast micros and Belgians but plenty of other stuff is to be found too. Overall, they have the best selection of the high end bottle shops in town. What I really love about this place, is that they have a small but exciting collection of vintage brews.
Service is usually outstanding, but it depends on who's working and how busy they are.

Was my first bottle shop I ever went to going on 5 years or so now. Nearly cried when I walked in, seeing all the fancy beers that had been so hard for me to get up until that point. Haven't been in some time now (have a great shop 5mins away from home now) but still has a place at the top in the Seattle area. It has undoubtly changed and gotten a little bigger but they have a wide array, nice people to help you and a few times (I believe there are around doublt digits now) to try some selections as well.
Coming to Seattle? Give Bottleworks a visit (and the surrounding Wallingford/Fremont/Ballard) if you like beer and helpful people to point you in the right direction.

Finally got there. It's great, as expected. Actually better. Great service, bowler bar (and you can buy smaller pours and drink them while you shop), dim lighting to protect the beer, reasonable prices, and fantastic selection including aged vintages of some special brews. Short review, but I think that about covers it.
Go there if you like beer! And, it's in/near Fremont, a cool neighborhood with some other beer destinations such as Fremont Brewing Co.
