Had on tap at the Toronto Beer Festival, 9.3% abv, marketed as an Imperial Brown IPA, all centennial hops, good balanced hops character with a smooth complex bready malt profile, quite aromatic, one of the better hoppy beers I had the chance to sample and a solid offering that I would look forward to trying again, alcohol was not perceived, it came across as a full bodied and balanced DIPA with a lively citrus and spicy hop character, with a nutty and mildly caramel malt body. Worth trying if available again.

On-tap at Volo during Flying Monkeys takeover.
Beer is very dark brown, almost no head. A bit of a beige ring. Pretty good lacing despite that.
Smell is a bit faint. Bready malt, a bit of a nutty scent, some citrus fruit.
Pine and citrus fruit in the taste. Nutty flavours with some bready malt. Moderately bitter. The hop and malt flavours work well together, quite complementary.
Medium to full bodied, low to moderate carbonation. A bit heavy but nice.
Overall, quite tasty.

Posted as a nut brown ipa. Bar Volo one-offs event. Most interesting, was getting only faint brown taste, more cocoa and of course citrus. It was as if I was drinking a well-balanced cask of IPA. Just great sipper. Genius. Medium brown coloured body, no head.Hoppy aroma.Middling mouthfeel.
