drove to Yankee spirits this past weekend to check out the fabled selection, it did not disappoint. a superior selection. a long wall of american and international microbrews, plus a dozen coolers of craft beer as well. also a large portion of floorspace dedicated to craft cases.
however, i will patronize Table and Vine more frequently simply due to proximity. i will travel to Yankee Spirits when the few breweries they carry that T&V doestn have a release of something new. breweries like dieu de ciel
all in all a superb establishment

This is easy to reach, just off of I-84. I always stop in when I am going up to Boston from my home in Connecticut. My most recent visit last Thursday evening coincided with a single malt whiskey tasting they were having, with 16 stations serving single malt whiskeys. Unfortunately it was something that you had to pre-register for, and they gave you a wrist band that allowed you to try all the samples. And I just missed the Belgium Beer tasting to be held yesterday (Saturday), so it pays to check their website for both the sales and events. I was able to enjoy freshly cut roast beef and ham sandwiches they were serving near the beer; and a chocolate fountain that featured chocolate covered fresh pineapple slices and strawberries. There was also a bagpiper who played every 10 minutes or so, and some Christmas caroling. All in all, the most memorable evening I have experienced at a liquor store!
OK, about the beer: just an awesome selection! Not quite as big as the selection at their Attleboro store, but still one of the best I have seen. I easily spent an hour or more looking over everything, even though I had some very specific beers I was after. They had the Maine Beer Co, Allagash & Jack's Abbey brews I was looking for, so I left a happy customer. They also had Ballast Point's Sculpin IPA, which I haven't seen elsewhere on the East Coast!
Definitely worth stopping in if you are anywhere in the area!

After a visit to Pioneer Brewing, my wife and I went in search of more beer at Yankee Spirits. The place inside is about the size of a super market. It's gigantic. There is booze as far as the eye can see. The beer is located in the back left. There are about three whole walls of cooler space for cold six packs. Then the back left wall is one massive display of bombers. One of the best selections I have seen in a long time. They literally have everything, and some stuff from breweries I have never seen in in Boston or in MA before. Probably 100 feet of American craft bombers, then Belgian beers, then German beers, then other European beers. I picked up a Stone 11.11.11 for $7.99, then a bomber from Offshore Ale for $3.50 and a 4 pack of Redhook 2010 Treblehook barleywine on discount for $3.99. A manager came right over to the register when I inquired with the cashier about the availability of Pioneer bombers. I could have spent all day in here. This place is worthy of a road trip.

Having visited the one in swansea decided to give this one a try. What a mistake, should have gone to table and vine instead. The place was a mess, all the six packs were mixed together and it was difficult to find what I was looking for. Apparently they do a mix a six, but couldn't find any signs or people to explain how it worked. Got to the register only to find out they gouge you on the mix prices. Like their growler selection, but hate the fact that the deposit on them is so high( yes i know the store has no control over it but still) Extremley dissappointed and would not make the trip there again. Not sure why it is rated so high, other than for the size. The store in swansea is much more organized, has a better selection and actually has people available to help you. I would recommend heading to Table and Vine over this one any day of the week.

Went a few weeks ago to stock up for the holidays and it's been a while since I've been. I remember it being slightly different but, nonetheless, here goes:
This is definitely a superstore, has all of the liqour and a great beer selection for MA. It's not too far away from CT so it's a nice drive there and back. Very nice store for the age that it has, and they always have a great selection. The whole back row is dedicated to craft brews and for what we usually can get in CT and MA, they'll have it for sure (unless of course, if it's sold out). I believe they restock pretty quickly
If you need help with anything, just ask one of the workers and they'll be sure to help you out the best they can and they'll let you know what they have in stock/what they'll be getting in.
Pretty solid place for some awesome brews that I can't seem to find in NECT. Their prices are awesome, I was able to get the Sam's Winter Classic for $11.99, whereas in CT it's still 15.99 or so. That's a pretty good deal for me. I'll be returning for sure!

The first time I stepped foot into the Yankee Spirits Sturbridge store it was completely overwhelming. Heaven for alcohol lovers alike. The store is the size of a supermarket with around 20 aisles of wine, 10 aisles of liquor and the entire back 1/3 of the store is dedicated to beer (GREAT CRAFT BEER SELECTION AS WELL).
The beer manager there is extremely helpful and has coresponded via e-mail with me multiple times as well as reserved beers for me in the past with no hesitation.
Selection is top notch and being in CT and traveling to MA I can get beers that I can't find available in my CT go to place.
The only downfall is, I did however find them a bit more pricey than my CT spot which was a surprise with the huge selection and amount of beer they stock you would figure their prices would reflect the large buying power.
Now that MA has a 6.25% sales tax on beer opposed to CTs 6% I found myself not jumping the border as often as when MA had no sales tax. Now I only go to get beers that I can't get in CT.

I've been to this place a couple times either to get beer on a Sunday on my way to a Pats game, or to buy beer not available in CT.
The place is big, like a supermarket. The beer coolers make up a small part of the beer selection, mostly BMC six packs and 40's, with a couple doors for local craft. Most of the beer selection is on a shelf in the back. If your looking for Berkshire, it's in the fridge (since they require their beers to be cold). I'd like them to keep their craft selection in the fridge, but oh well.
The selection is good, especially for getting brands I can't get in CT. The selection is broken down by state or country, with an okay import selection. Prices can get out of hand for some things, so be careful about that. Also, watch out for old stock. I've seen some stuff over a year past their best by date, and I've bought stale, skunked, or oxidized stuff here, and didn't get a response when I e-mailed about it.
Service has been average every time I've gone. I have no problems or compliments on that front, and the only time I've talked to an employee has been for check out. There is a small grocery section with snacks and hors derves.
Make sure to go to BT's smokehouse next door if you go here. Excellent BBQ.
