On tap at Fort Street Brewery. Pale, pale yellow with a seriously off-the-charts level of clarity, everything on the other side of the glass is completely unobstructed. A small, foamy white film rests on top of the pale brew in lieu of any real kind of head. I've heard this is Fort Street's version of a "BMC-type" beer... a "conversion" for the macro-folk, if you will. Sure looks like it.

Not much to the aroma, really. Grainy, with some sweet Pilsner malts, kind of bready and almost toasty... Much be just a touch of something darker than Pils malt here. A little sweet corn, too, though not as sickeningly or cloying sweet as you'd find in many macros. It's also devoid of that common metallic twinge as well. It's nice in that respect, but pretty lackluster overall.

Like the nose, the taste starts off with a hefty helping of graininess; the sharp mouth feel is evident right away - the body couldn't be any thinner and the carbonation is high and prickly. You get a nice mouth feel of fresh and bready lager yeast, very dry in the finish. There's a faint, faint hint of lemon zest in the final moments as well - a nice way to close out this incredibly easy drinking and somewhat lacking lager.

Nothing bad or offensive, here, just seriously understated in most aspects. Not much of a hop presence at all, mostly grain, light adjunct, malt, and yeast. The problem is that each thing is still very light. Vapid, but not completely lost, as it's still far from tasting like crap. It just doesn't taste like much. Definitely a craftier version of BMC brews, but they have better choices by far.

The Lincoln Lager from Fort Street was decent. The color was clear and golden...not much in head or lace. The scent carried a good balance of Saaz hop and malt. The taste was upgrade over budweiser....nice hop and malt balance with decent body. The mouthfeel was medium to light body and carbonation was a little light. Overall I thought this was a good beer.

Straight forward, all American lager here folks. Medium dark yellow color has a short foamy head that is short lived. Has a slighly hoppy nose, but not much was detected otherwise. Flavor was quite good, with notes of corn, barely and hops. Finished clean and clear, very refreshing. Nothing amazing here, but for what it is, it's pretty darn good. Recommended.

Crystal clear gold colour with a fine white cap. Good head retention and lots of lacing. Looks good! Clean aroma with just a hint of fruit. Mostly cereal grains and a light hop spice. Mild bitterness with faint fruit and crackers. Crisp, light bodied, moderate carbonation. A solid lager, very drinkable. Quite a good example of the style too.

Beer is a clear, light straw color with a light creamy white head. Light malt aroma with some spicy hops notes. This light-bodied lager has a light malt flavore with a slight husky/grainy taste followed by a crisp, spicy hops flavor and bitterness. Overall, a light, crisp and clean lager.
