Pours out to a dark amber in the glass with a slight head. The aroma is that of malt and biscuit dough. The taste is quite good with a malt presence that is straightforward without the sweetness present in many ambers. This one is easily a session beer. The brew pub will no doubt get the "Killian's" converts to drink this one. A good, solid, pub amber that will open up the world of their more complex offerings to their customers.

This is quite a refreshing brew. Very nice.

Pours a gorgeous red in color with an off-white thin head. Nose is interesting, malty and complex. Taste is a tad bitter, but with a nice malt character to balance it out nicely. There is a nice hop profile going on here with a grainy biscuity flavor.

Quite fresh tasting, crisp and mildy complex, well done.

I've got to say, i've had much better altbiers, but this one is worthy of notice, as it's not a brew that I see done at micro breweries too often. Color was dark red, almost brown except when held to the light. Slight bit of lace noted around the glass, but no head to speak of. Scent was slighly sweet, with loads of smooth maltiness. Finshed rather blandly, but none the less, was satisfying. Kind of one sided, not much body or depth. Definitly a session beer. Worth a try.
