This beer comes in a 50 cl brown short-necked bottle with a yellow label with white writing. Looks kind of dull.

A: It pours brown with a hint of redl The off-white large thick head dissipates slowly leaving rich lacings.

S: Roasted sweet malt, faint butter. Some dark dried fruits. Some yeast. Kind of metallic.

T: Light roasted malt, dark dried fruits. A metallic "off-taste". Some faint bitter hops.

M: Aftertaste is medium-long and holds some bitterness. Carbonation is medium and the body is thin.

D: Nothing to write home about. A typical macro-dark lager.

The colour is deep brown-red; the head is pale brown and finger thick. Some lacing occurs.

The smell is mostly malty. Some yeast, minerals (chalk) and hints of nuts.

The taste is dry with some lightly roasted malt. It is a bit watery. Somewhat dry fruity hoppy flavours. A quickly passing bitterness emerges. The aftertaste is pretty pleasant with a sourish hint, some sweetness and roasted nuts.

The carbonation is medium; the liquid is a bit watery.

An average semi-dark lager.

The beer is brown with a hint of orange, an off-white compact head that leaves little lacing.

The smell is grassy, spicy and sweet. Mostly in the malty area.

The taste has a little sweetness, dried fruits and burnt bread, some acidity, grape peel, and a good measure of bitterness.

Carbonation is medium, a little watery but a good long bitterness.

As a Swedish "eastern beer" this is rather good and drinkable, can fit on a "påskbord" (eastern smorgasbord).

Appearance: Eriksbergs Påsköl pours a profoundly deep red colour along with a light brown toned crown of a rather creamy-looking character and approximately 1½ inches of height. The crown diminishes after a 1 minute or so, and leaves some persistent remnants on the beer along with a moderate amount of lacing. Plenty of carbonation is visible.

Smell: Pretty fresh 'n' fruity hoppiness, not all that malty, sour tones from the hops and possibly butterscotch.

Taste: Burnt malt is a flavour which in a mild - yet distinct - manner carries on through the whole tasting experience and great bitterness merges with the dryness of the burnt malt in the aftertaste (and for some reason it made me think of the taste of cucumbers!). In between all of this we get hints of butterscotch, a quick reappearance of the sourness, another kind of sweetness than that of the aforementioned butterscotch, perhaps a flowery one, pretty hard to pin it down exactly... but darn interesting!

Mouthfeel: Here's there real downside to this beer, it's a bit too watery, if it would've been slightly more full it would be so much better. Other than that it's fairly dry in the aftertaste (as mentioned above), pretty round but perky due to the rather high amount of carbonation.

Drinkabillty: I'd say that it's a pleasing seasonal brew, it's decently poised and I particularly enjoyed the beautiful colour and long aftertaste, make it a little more full the next time and we've got a winner!
