Pours a brown color with a nice beige head. It slowly dies, leaving quite lot of lacing on the glass.
Smell is quite interesting of caramel and spices. It got some weird sweet smell (of course you can't smell sweetness, but...), almost like it could be a soda of some sort. Oh, now I know: pineapple! There's also some dried fruits.
Taste is first of all quite sweet and malty with some hops in the background. It got a moderate bitterness with notes of a citrus/grapefruity hop note and pineapple. A bit spicey and quite fresh.
Mouthfeel is quite filling for a lager, pretty smooth. Liquid is maybe a bit thin though.
Drinkable? Yes! Probably the best beer from I've had from this brewery; Swedens biggest macrobrewery. It's quite fun they try to make something different than their massproduced, cheaply made lager beer.

Falcon or Carlsberg in general doesn't represent quality in my opinion, but this sure is!
The beer looks great, light brown color with i nice white head.
Smells nicely of cascade hops, sweet malts, caramel and some peculiar spicyness. Very much hops in the smell and hints of grapefruit.
Tastes great, cascade hops together with a nice maltiness and a slight spiciness, some grapefruit too! I found it slightly peppery in the aftertaste.
All and all a great beer!

"Gammelbrygd" is Swedish for Old Fashioned Brew.
The colour is brown with a tint of red; the high pale brown head is very airy. Some lacing.
The smell is hoppy and bitter. Fresh notes of caramelized malt and dry hints of yeast. Very balanced and clean.
The taste is strong and complex: Lots of roasted notes (fried meat, roasted nuts), dark rye bread, and lots of very bitter hops. Heavy notes of dried fruits, bitter herbs, strong red wine. The aftertaste is very bitter, with notes of roast beef, dried apples and apricots and mild sour and alcoholic flavours in the finish.
The carbonation is medium to strong; the liquid is light and the mouthfeel is dry.
An intriguing dark lager that reminds me of Scottish ales and double pilsners. Impressive, yet a little more sweetness would have balanced the bitterness.
