Appearance: Pours out a hazed, pale, dark golden body with a thin, white head.
Smell: Notable scent smelling of raw cereal grains with a backdrop of floral, lightly spicy hops. Still though, it's mostly grains.
Taste: Light maltiness with a markedly high grainy overtone and mild sweetness. Faint lemon zest hint. Predominately floral, spicy hops with a light bitterness. Drying finish with cling grainy taste.
Mouthfeel: Medium-light body. Medium carbonation. Soft overall mouthfeel.
Drinkability: I'm find this to be distinctly grainy, like I'm forever munching on some raw malted grains that aren't really there. Didn't care for this one.

Pours a filtered straw with almost no head. Smells more like an adjunct lager...some light malt and breast grain. Taste is fairly clean and crisp, but not that good. Drinkable if you are pounding beers with your mates, but not something for a special occasion for sure.

500ml bottle from B&M Bargains, Glasgow (£1.39):
This one from Mourhouse's Brewery was a fairly average offering if I'm honest, a drinkable beer that was okay but it's certainly not one worth seeing out nor would it be one that I'd be likely to pick up again.

A 500ml bottle with a BB of March 2016. Acquired a little while back from a B&M store.
A: Poured into a straight pint glass. A clear golden hue with faint haze and intense carbonation. Yields a large head of creamy white foam with superb retention; it settles as a thick surface layer.
S: Aroma of light malt with hints of yeast esters, stewed leaves, faint grain, subtle earthiness and brewing salts. A lingering touch of the Burton snatch. OK but rather average.
T: Tastes of light malt with a lingering dry finish. Notes of stewed leaves/husks, subtle malt, a hint of grain, earthy yeast, brewing salts and a twinge of sulphur. Highly attenuated, followed by a restrained yet bone-dry bitterness upon swallowing.
M: Mouthfeel is smooth, tingly and dry, with lively carbonation and decent body. Perhaps a tad too thin. Somewhat astringent, accompanied by an aftertaste of harsh stewed leaves/cardboard, earthy yeast and a whisper of sulphur.
O: Meh - pretty standard fare that fails to excite. Looks good, but this is its best attribute. Aroma and flavour are bland and uninspired; little hop character to speak of. So-so body. The dryness of this brew also makes it surprisingly astringent. Drinkable enough but instantly forgettable in a sea of equally dull beer. No need to seek it out.

Slightly clouded straw coloured body with a crowning glory of a big white head.
Subtle aromas of hops and brewing coppers.
What it lacks on the nose it makes up for on the tongue
Toffee starting then drying to citrus fruits and then a nice hops kick preparing the tongue for a bitter aftertaste.
Nice flowing mouthfeel and utterly perfect carbonation makes a beer that will slate any thirst.
Good stuff

Brown 500ml bottle, best before the end of Dec 2010, drank and reviewed 9 Nov 2010. Poured into an 'Abbot Ale' glass tankard.
Very light golden hue to the beer, a good well formed foaming, white head.
No real aroma from my tankard, hints of hops and citrus esters, but very little to get excited about.
The taste is a mild hop flavour, no depth, but pleasant enough, the mouth drys and the hops give a bitter aftertaste. The faint citrus smells mentioned earlier turn into a true flavour mid-drink.
I bit too dry and without any malt influence for my taste. Nothing wrong with the beer, just not my sort of regular choice in a brew.
