64 ounce growler
Served in a perfect pint glass
A - This beer pours amber in color with orange/yellow highlights. It is clear with about two inches of beige head.
S - It smells like natural peanut butter.
T - Peanut butter translates in the taste, as well. I also get some bready malt. It's kind of like a slice of bread with peanut butter.
M - Moderate
O - It is an interesting beer. I have been wanting to try some peanut/peanut butter beers. It is decent if you like peanut butter. It is not overwhelming, but it is a nice start to my journey. I would also note that this beer was listed as "Punchin' the Nuts" and was said to be an amber ale. I assume this is the aforementioned beer, but they made it an amber instead of the nut brown ale the previous reviewer had.

A: Brown with a little amber glow. Little head and little lace.
S: Could smell the caramel from malts but not much else.
M: Strong, almost rubbing alcohol with that lingering malty caramel note.
T: Peanut butter! This was the star as the flavor of a slightly sweet peanut butter smoothness provided a flavorful kick. The caramel and roasted malt backed it up.
O: Not what I was expecting. A nice brown with lots of peanut flavor made this a true "nut brown"
This review was written 4/10/11. I remember going back to the brewery a few weeks later and ordering this again and it tasted totally different. Haven't seen it since.
