Pours a amber color with a white foamy head.

Smell is of american hops, apricot with notes of burnt/roasted malt.

Taste is nice of citrus, grapefruit, slightly grassy with a good bitterness, which balances well with some sweeter, malty notes.

Good, filling mouthfeel. Not that much carbonation. Nice.

Highly drinkable and well made american pale!

Oppigårds Late Summer ale is a high-quality APA from Oppigårds - a great brewery in Dalarna, Sweden.

Clear amber color with a nice white/beige head. Looks great!

Nice clean smell of rosted malts and American hops.

Taste is very bitter with lots of the american hops. Some rosted malts och notes of dried fruits can be found too. Highly drinkable. The mouthfeel isn't the best though.

Now (since August 1st) sold at Systembolaget under the name Late Summer Ale. Oppigårds Bryggeri has through Bark informed me that it is indeed the same beer.

Big white head on top of an copper coloured brew. The beer is clear with small bubbles. Throughout the session a small hill of foam remains on top of the beer's surface and a good amounts of lacing is left on the glass.

The beer has a spicy, hoppy smell with citrus and apricot aromas.

Nice, smooth, fruity taste that is naturally dominated by American styles of hops. The carbonation is perhaps a bit on the light side. Very good for a Swedish American IPA. I will definitely buy it again.

According to the brewery, "Oppigårds Late Summer Ale" is identical to "Oppigårds Early Summer Ale". The change of name is due to a request from Sweden's liquor monopoly Systembolaget for a "Late summer related beer".

The colour is medium gold; the liquid clear. The three finger firm head is airy, uneven and off-white. Lots of lacing.

The smell is very hoppy in an American way: Grape fruits, butter, caramel, a grand bitterness, raisins, and spicy flowery notes. Robust and complex at the same time!

The taste is fresh with malty notes of dark bread, bitter flavours, lightly roasted malts, a fine sour (almost tart) flavour of the wheat malt, matured notes of pine, resin and oak. The aftertaste brings a powerful growing bitterness, buttery matured flavours, somewhat sour wheat/wit flavours and hints of sweet fruit candy. The bitter finish adds a touch of French loaf.

The carbonation is medium to mild, the liquid smooth.

A very fine American ale: But I might have classified it as an American IPA rather than an APA. Well...
