I had this on tap into a pint glass at The Bishops Arms.
This was a bartender selection and a good one at that. Nothing spectatular here on any front, but a low abv summer sessional that is super easy to drink, tasty and not with any skunk.

Great beer to start the night with, give it a shot.

Light golden colour small creamy white head. Aroma is distinctly hoppy, grass, straw, apricots, pine and malts. Flavour is also full of hops and is very likable, but it is a bit thin which holds the rating down. Mouthfeel is lively, medium bubbles. All in all a worthy beer, but I believe that this will be perfect for a warm summer's day.

A: Very slight haze, almost neon yellow, significant rising carbonation with decent head.
S: Creamy lemony wheaty yeast. Really incredible smell. Sweet. It's almost the ideal witbier smell.
T: Bitter grassiness, yet smooth and not biting. Very different from smell. Relatively mild in flavor.
M: Soft and somewhat smooth with mild carbonation sting.
O: Pretty good, really good if you're into grassiness.

Appearance Pale golden yellow barleypop with a rich ivory lather hat. Lots of airy lacing.

Smell Light and harmonius notes of aroma hops, lime and yeast. This does actually make me think of a round and complex dishwashing liquid nose.

Mouthfeel Light and short lived body with small fierce globules.

Taste A balanced brew full of sweetness, sprinkled with light floral hops (Slovenian Styrian Golding). Full of exotic fruits reminding me of grape fruit but perhaps mostly of coconut and pineapple. A bit of a bite of hops in its final stages. No lingering flavs here.

Another summerish thirst quencher from the Oppigård Brewery. These guys eat, sleep, breathe and shit Ale. Be sure not to miss out on one of these babies if the oppotunity arises.

A golden hazy beer with a small white head that leaves some lacing.

The smell is dominated by citrus, lemon and orange, a floral scent, dried grass, but also a malty sweetness, bread crust.

Rather dominated by the bitterness from the hops, but one feel flowers and pine, fruits - pear. A touch of sweetness is there - fresh bread.

Medium high carbonation, and a fresh mouthfeel, a dry finish.

A very well hopped beer, clean and fresh.

The colour is pale copper. The high off white foam sinks to a finger thick head leaving some lacing.

The quite strong smell is fresh and very hoppy with a sweet note of hay and flowers. Some honey, a mild bitter flavour and dried fruits (that resembles a bit of the Shepherd Neame house flavour).

The taste is refreshing and hoppy, but not overly bitter. Hay, apricots, dry dried apples, some English yeast. The aftertaste is dry and bitter with notes of minerals, French loaf, grass and cut flowers.

The carbonation is medium to mild, the bubbles medium sized. The liquid is mid-smooth.

A highly drinkable blonde ale with that special grassy Styrian Golding aroma. Will probably be a staple beer this summer.

A- Hazy light golden yellow appearance. Small white head that doesn't last too long. No lacing though this was probably my glass.

S- Orange and citrus scents predominant. Hops and grassy notes also with some mild malty scents.

T- Orange and peach flavors along with a mild bitterness that makes for a pleasant aftertaste. Slight taste of syrupy/canned fruit cocktail towards end also, definitely not as off putting as that might sound.

M- Nice and light, dry feel with pleasant and refreshing amount of carbonation.

O- Very nice beer. My first from this brewery. Highly drinkable and very refreshing. Definitely not disappointed.

Cloudy lemon with loose white froth that fades. Slight lemon and sweet corny grain on the nose. Straight pale malts, some waxy yeast (?) then spice and hay for hops. Citrus rind it to end and a tingly linger. Thin, fizzy, with some stick.

An extra lemony English-style blonde - but so what? Seems odd to go to the trouble of single hopping with Styrian Golding, only to come up with a beer this average.

Thanks to Chris for bringing this back from Stockholm.

Oppigårds Single Hop Ale, ABV: 4.8%.
330 ml bottle, 16.90 SEK at Systembolaget.

A: A slightly hazy liquid, a very bright yellow colour, and a small head that disappears quite fast - but leaves nice lacing.

S: Fruity, floral and hoppy aromas, with big notes of apricots, lemons, elderflowers, and hints of bread and yeast.

T: Fruity and floral on the tongue as well. Notes of apricots, oranges, lemons, elderflowers, rye bread and hints of pine needles. The hoppy bitterness is not overwhelming, but rather moderate and balanced.

M: Relatively light feel, medium-sized body, notable carbonation, but very-very drinkable.

O: Oppigårds makes nothing but good pale ales, and the "Single Hop" is a particularly easily drinkable one - an early favourite for me. It's an awesome summer beer, just for drinking, or with BBQ or picnic food.
