Recently you find Oppigards quite often in Lidl and this is good, thinking of how cheap it is while being relatively good.
This APA is also quite okay, a proper - perhaps a little bit thin - pale ale, single hop fashion: made with the excellent Amarillo. This is crucial because Amarillo is the backbone of this beer, smells and tastes nice. Quite balanced as well, however I found the beer's body a little weak, a little bit sessionable but still within the enjoyable boundaries. But I love the piney flavor of Amarillo so altogether it was exciting to drink it.
Now I know Amarillo and know what to expect when I see it as an ingredient! And this APA? Maybe I would buy it again, for this cheap price.
As of 2017/18 this beer was again renamed to Amarillo APA.
