Pours out light gold and sits a hazy golden amber in the glass with a fair white head that recedes quite quickly to the sides.

Aroma is quite vegetal. Cabbage and corn are abundant. Some toatsy, biscuit malt type aromas with little to no hop interference.

Tastes faintly malty, fine traces of biscuit and grain husks. Lemony flavor and sourness begins to appear, but dissapates quickly. Hop bitterness lends a light, bitter finish with graininess lingering on.

Light bodied with soft carbonation, moderately smooth in the mouth. Definately not a beer that speaks well for itself. Plain, simple and uninspiring.

If you want to try these beers, please do go to the brewpub, but don't take their packaged beers home. This is another bottle that somehow got contaminated: I got a musty smell of wet salted peanut shells when I opened it, and it permeated the taste. Color was very pale, yet murky at the same time. Very stale taste. Either their bottling operation has problems, or they're storing their packaged beers way too long.

Pale straw gold color, small white head. Scent is of a belgian wit, light wheat. Taste is similar to a glass of water with some beer reside left on the inside of the glass. Light wheat aspects. Im wondering if this is a bunk batch they brewed or if its supposed to be like this. Wont ever find out cause this will be the last one i buy.

Poured this 12 oz. bottle to a pint glass.

A: Hazy light gold color. Just a little lazy carbonation rising to a thin, short-lived white head. Has a 'watery' look, like the golden-ness of the beer has actually been separated out and is suspended. Worst of all there are (uh oh) flecks of brown at the bottom the glass, either spent barley husks or cardboard; either way, they shouldn't be there.

S: Smells like Karo corn syrup - which I love on pancakes but not in my beer. Slight sourness, nothing else.

T: Sharp tang at first, then a watered-down grainy corn flavor. Sour and a little bitter, even those flavors are pretty bland.

M: Mothfeel is light and a little thin ut is moderately crisp and refreshing. Carbonation is weak and dry/bitter finish reminds of mouthful of mineral water. Could be worse, definitely could be better.

D: I'd read the previous negative reviews and thought I'd give it go nonetheless. Alas, it lived up the 'hype' as a pretty awful beer...really nothing about this redeeming enough to ever drink again. However, thanks to mnwags for sending this (I asked for it) to me for a try. Sadly, not recommended in any way.

Another highly carbonated brew from Northwoods. This beer is very pale and hazy. Soapy aroma. Big frothy head. Looks, smells and tastes exactly the same as their Bumb'n Buzz'n Brew. This one seems to have a little bit of a musty taste also. I'm not sure if I can throw back two of these brews in one night. Poor beer.

Appearance: Pours a remarkably clear, light golden body with a thin, wispy white head.

Smell: A handful of corn kernels, a pinch of sulphur, and light cereal notes make up this aroma.

Taste: It's corny, but less corny than the aroma would have you believe. Lightly sweet cereal flavor. Not much hopwise to speak of. There's a light sourness to the finish.

Mouthfeel: Medium-thin body. Mild carbonation.

Drinkability: I feel like I deserve a prize of some sort each time I finish a Northwoods beer.

Lightly hazed, pearish, pale appearance, slim fizziness above, wastes away instantly.

Slick, sick, fades aroma...something's off in the bottling line here, as this is the fourth beer yet from this company that a plastic-y smell, no real hops, no actual malt, just really wrong.

Taste: actually quite horrible. A mess. Flat, cardboardy, unattractive...well, an accident...or, so I hope.
The whole thing feels infected. This should never have left the plant.
