Traveled to Miami for work, saw the rating here, so I hit the store up. Good selection of beer both in the cooler and along the entire side wall. Definately a good place for good beer and good wine. I expected more of a convience store, but this was certainly a wine store with a great beer selection. Not familiar with the rest of Miami, but from the liquor/convience stores I stopped by during the week, nothing is close to this place. I will definately stop by here and only here next time I am in the Miami area (store is actually in Coral Gables).

This is probably where I buy beer most often.

Quality, selection - I swear, this place has a better selection than Total Wine, even though there's just one little wall of beer and a few coolers. Maybe it's just that it has a better selection of beers I want to drink. You'll see a interesting, solid selection of American micros, Belgians, Germans, and Brits. Should be something for everyone. Some of these beers have been sitting on the shelves a while, so check the dates. This can be a negative and a positive - there's an embarrassment of Dogfish Head big beers from 1-2 years ago. Want a bottle of 2006 Fort? Yours for the taking. 120 Min and Raison D'Extra? Plenty. Lots of Great Divide, Unibroue, Left Hand, Rogue and Ommegang.

Service is good - they'll generally leave you alone to shop, but knowledgeable help is available if you want it.

Value - while there is reasonable value to be had, some bottles seem a little on the pricier side of reasonable than they could be. I come here mostly for the selection.

It's also a very good place for wine and spirits. Also boasts a decent little mead and sake section next to the beer. Quality all-around liquor store by my vote.

A wine and liquor store with a small selection of beer. As you would expect with a store that sells primarily wine the beer is overpriced for what it is - $9 a bottle for Rogue products are you kidding me? Not a big deal though, there is a Milam's Market less than a mile north of this place on US1 with a better selection of beer and decent prices. I went to Crown based on the other reviews and wasted a half hour. Save your time and gas just go to Milam's, or make the trek to Total Wine in Aventura for a better experience.

Crown Wine and Spirts has a desent selection of Beer. They carry Rouge, Dogfish Head, Avery, Unibroue, Shmaltz(He'Brew) and some local Florida breweries. They have some single bottles and 4/6 packs. The 4/6 packs the will not allow you to brake into singles. The store is big but is full of wine and has a small beer selection. The prices are about average. So far I have tired two of the beers that I have bought and they seam to be fresh. They must must do OK business to circulate the beers to keep them fresh. If in Miami this is the best place that I have found to buy beer.

One of the few places in the Miami area with a decent beer selection, they also have a pretty bad ass selection of fine wines and liquors. Beer selection is not huge but is quality over quantity, they pick very well for what they have. Heavy on Belgian imports, with some good American micro's and only a small cooler for macro's. They get some neat Christmas packs. Service is great, first time I went the beer guy opened up a bottle of Rogue I2PA for us to sample when we were choosing beers, very nice and helpful people. The prices are as good if not better than most places I've seen, standard micro's being ~$7 per 6 pack, Belgians are reasonable as well. Overall great resource for good beer in the area, very recommended.

A good place to buy your beer in South Miami (actually Coral Gables). Although I'm somewhat spoiled by Richmond Va stores, this is a great resource in South Florida. It is a chain and you will find other stores through out the state. If you see one, you should definately stop in. They have so much more than the grocery stores that I checked out. They have a nice selection of Belgians and other imports as well as having a number of local micros and beers from across the US.

Thanks to biergirl for the post that turned me on to the place. The manager and staff were quite friendly and helpful. This is really a liquor store that happens to carry beer and does a good job in my opinion. They have a huge cooler offering a selection of beers chilled and ready to go.
