I had this on-tap with dinner in Tupelo, Mississippi. This is good stuff. It has the taste of pecans without being a praline/desert beer. I'm really glad the brewer didn't decide to get cute with it. It went well with the crab cakes. I would gladly have a couple more again.

Pours a clear dark reddish brown with a small off-white head. There is no lacing.
Smell is strongly of roasted nuts with a little bit of a sweet smell thrown in. Fairly one dimensional but pleasant.
The taste is very nutty with pecans definitely present. It isn't overpowering but rather compliments the beer nicely. There is a tiny bit of roastiness and a nice bitterness on the finish.
Overall this is a pretty enjoyable, if not simple, beer. There are not many complexities but it is a unique offering and one that should be sought out.

Copper brown with a white head. No lacing.
Aroma is a malty nuttiness. Nothing spectacular, but pleasant. Taste really brings it home though. Great medley of pecan and malt, with a sweet, but not cloying, backbone. Very tasty. Has an aftertaste that almost reminds me of sweet tea. Mouthfeel is good -- medium bodied, appropriate carbonation.
Really an excellent beer that exceeded my expectations. I think this is the best "session" strength beer I've ever had. Instant favorite of mine.

This is an interesting beer that I'm glad I had the pleasure of tasting. I'd say it's more of a sipper than a drinker but good none the less. It pours a really deep amber with a quick release of carbonation that fizzles out as quickly as it fizzles up. The smell of rather boozy with some nutty accents and some roasted malt but only a touch. Although, I'm sure the roasted accents are actually from the pecans rather than malt.
This is a rich tasting beer. You do get the nuttiness with every sip. It's different than actually eating roasted pecans but it certainly reminds you of the experience. I rather enjoyed it. I also get the malt, almost to a fault. I think I would have preferred the beer to be a little brighter and more balanced. I enjoyed the beer more as it warmed, stronger nut flavor, which is really what this beer is all about.
I could see enjoying one of these in front of a fire over the holidays.
