November 4th, 2013 - Bad beers? You think you've had bad beers? No, no, this is a bad beer. Everything about it is a smoldering failure. The scent smells like a lager used as an ashtray. Cigarette smoke? In a beer? Did somebody take a smoke break too close to the brewing equipment? The wan and light body does nothing to mask the flavor of raw potatoes and corn. And at $7.50 (though I recognize that this is somewhat out of the brewer's control) this beer is an absolute rip off. Cutely named, but tragically brewed.

Had on tap in New Orleans. Served at a frozen beverage chain there. Served into a plastic 24oz cup.
Appearance: high carbonation, 1 inch head, orange/gold in color, hazy
Smell: toasted malt
Taste: a grassy start followed by a big dose of sugary caramel malt with light grassy citrusy hops tied to it.
Mouthfeel: very sweet with a touch of bitterness that comes out at the end, high carbonation, light body
Overall: Refreshing and maybe my favorite of the Lazy Magnolia beers I tried. Great for the style. A super sessionable light summer drink. I am really liking the way LM brews beers.
