12oz bottle into a pint glass.

Pours a hazy brownish orange with a 1.5 finger thick white head. Amazing head retention and really good lacing. Really thick all the way around.

Lots of rye spiciness comes through on the aroma. Kind of reminds me of bread dough. Earth, caramel, and overripe citrus also comes through. Lots of orange and tangerine.

Dark caramel and rye on the flavor. The rye hangs around for a long time and really adds a nice element to this brew. Tons of ripe orange from the hops that approaches a slightly unpleasant acrid bitterness on the back of the tongue. Tons of hope bitterness that really comes close to being too much. This extremely strong bitterness combined with a very sweet and sticky mouthfeel severely limits drinkability.

Overall, a good effort by Lazy Magnolia on their first foray into high gravity brewing. This beer comes close but just seems to miss the mark. Toning down the bitterness and cleaning up the mouthfeel a little would do wonders.

To my knowledge this is my first beer tried from the state of Mississippi.Poured into an oversized wine glass a slight hazed burnt orange infused deep golden with a half finger slightly off white head,I like the color it just looks like a big hop monster.Aromas of citric and tropical fruit-like hops along with big alcohol sweetness and caramel malts, the hops win out but you know it's a brash beer.Sweet caramel and alcohol notes are the first thing I notice, the caramel doughy flavors are big, there is a hefty dose of citrusy tropical fruity hops wich is nice, not bitter at all.Not as sweet as most of the style but it's got some sweetness,a couple of these and you feel it.Better than expected to be honest, well done.

Awesome beer. Great citrus smell. Flavor is fresh citrus, caramel, pine, and light rye. One of the better ipas I have had in a while. Will look to pick this one up again.

The beer pours a slightly hazy orange-brown color with a white head. The aroma is full of grapefruit and orange, with a hint of pineapple thrown in. The flavor is very nice. I really like the pineapple notes that I get, which are mixed with other tropical fruit such as mangoes and papaya. I also get a hint of biscuit malt. There is a medium amount of bitterness. Medium mouthfeel and medium carbonation.

Poured from a bottle into a pint glass. Thank you shan8454 for this one in trade.

Appearance: Cloudy darker amber with a thin off white head. Some mild lacing on the glass.

Smell: Strong pine bitter notes.

Mouthfeel/Taste: Rough, medium bodied. Taste of bitter hops and pine with a very mild sweetness in the background.

Overall: Good IPA, glad I got to try this one out.

Appearance: orange gold/auburn with thick creamy off white head and great clarity

Aroma: a lot of pine, citrus, fresh bread, slight spiciness, hint of pepper,

Taste: delightful blend of spicy and peppery rye character and piney hop flavor. Well balanced but with a nice bitter finish

Mouthfeel: full bodied, tangy, bitter and medium carbonation

Overall: A solid Ryepa. Not the best I've had but a great one to quench a thirst and keep you coming back for more.

12oz bottle poured into a snifter.

A: Pours a slightly hazy copper amber with an off white dense head on top. Good head retention. Not much visible carbonation. Leaves some spots of lacing on the sides of the glass.

S: Enjoyable bouquet of hops going on here, a blend of earthy and floral with a hint of citrus. The rye malts come through adding a nice spice addition.

T: As anticipated from the aroma there is a solid dose of hops in this brew. An earthy and skunky type of hop flavor that blends well with the rye malts.

M: Medium to full body a creamy mouthfeel. Fairly low on the carbonation end of things. A touch sticky on the backend from the resinous hops.

Overall I've always been a fan of rye IPA's and this one is no exception. Earthy hops blend with the rye spice in this beer which packs a hidden punch,
