Hazy amber color with a decent white that retreats to just a skin fairly quickly but persists and produces a bit of lacing.
The aroma is piney hops and warm rye bread, mild but nice.
The taste is pine resin and grapefruit up front followed quickly by a peppery, spicy rye note with a bready malt undertone that helps blend it all together. The finish is peppery dry with a lingering pine/citrus aftertaste that makes you want more.
Medium bodied, smooth and very drinkable with well hidden alcohol content.
Altogether a very nice IPA, especially if you like rye as I do.

12oz bottle poured into a snifter.
A: Pours a slightly hazy copper amber with an off white dense head on top. Good head retention. Not much visible carbonation. Leaves some spots of lacing on the sides of the glass.
S: Enjoyable bouquet of hops going on here, a blend of earthy and floral with a hint of citrus. The rye malts come through adding a nice spice addition.
T: As anticipated from the aroma there is a solid dose of hops in this brew. An earthy and skunky type of hop flavor that blends well with the rye malts.
M: Medium to full body a creamy mouthfeel. Fairly low on the carbonation end of things. A touch sticky on the backend from the resinous hops.
Overall I've always been a fan of rye IPA's and this one is no exception. Earthy hops blend with the rye spice in this beer which packs a hidden punch,
