On tap at The Bistro in Hayward, CA.
Appearance: Bright golden color with a thin white head ringing the top of the pint glass.
Smell: Thin malty nose with a light floral backing. Nice aroma but unfortunately there's not much volume to it.
Taste: Big, complex flavor with a malty sweet opening followed by crisp fruits. Peach, pear, fruity sweetness and a light bitterness near the end. Very tasty and fruity with a very subtle touch of sourness around the sweet fruit. There's an earthy component to this beer that is kind of grassy and crisp.
Mouthfeel: Very clean and light bodied with a crisp, refreshing character. Nice bready aftertaste.
Drinkability: A simply wonderful pilsner that has more to offer than justa generic malt flavor. Very complex and pleasing. I could drink this beer all damn day.
Serving type: on-tap

This pours a light golden color with thin foaming.
There’s an aroma of faded hops and aspirations, pun intended. The flavor has a musty character that makes me think of green apple cider and grains, with a bit of wet grass. I can’t help but wonder how much more this beer could be if it wasn’t in green glass.
