A very nice German-style Pils made more interesting in that it's brewed in California by Trumer's second brewery aside from Salzburg, Austria.
This fits the Pils style to a T, but there are many others available for sampling that it's difficult to get excited over this beer. EKU's Pils seems more interesting to me, and Gordon Biersch makes a good example too.
OTOH, it's great to know that a world class Pilsner can be brewed here in the U.S., for that reason I recommend Pils drinkers try this beer -- pale gold, hoppy nose, clean malt and hop flavors, soft mouth feel that only double-decoction mashing can yield.
A nice beer to style. Now, about that green glass...

I purchased this bottle at Whole Foods in Fremont CA, poured from the green bottle chilled in a mug.
The color is golden clear with thick white cap and small bead with a good amount of lace. The smell is decent with a slight skunky yeast/hop odor with grassy odor and mild sweet malt presence, not great but the green bottle probably made the slight off aroma which is mild in comparison to the pilsner attributes. The feel is good with light body and medium bitterness with moderate carbonation and mild sweetness with a clean dry finish.
The taste is very good with slight hop flavor up front with low astringency and mild grassy aspect with gentle herbal noble type flavor with mild malt sweetness and gentle yeast in the taste with some low diacetyl in the finish making it seem smooth. I like the noble hop character I get in the taste which makes the hop seem less bitter in taste. Overall this is a pretty good pilsner, a nice example of the style and I think it is a good value if you like German lagers.
