Pint at The Black Shire in London, ON. When I asked what style of beer this is, the bartender merely described it as "the strawberry beer," so I was pleased to find that it's actually a flavoured witbier.
A: rich and hazy orange body, golden hues, one finger of bright white head, large strands of lace.
S & T: yeast esters, mild strawberry aroma, wheat malt, fruit sweetness, a little tart, trace of lemony sourness.
M: medium, spritzy, quenching, tangy spice on the palate, passing finish.
D: a surprisingly good white. The strawberry adds complexity - mostly to the aroma - without being overly sweet. I would drink this again. A fruit beer you can session. Great job, Nickel Brook.
Serving type: on-tap
