To be immodest one has to lack humility and decency. With our ‘Immodest’ Imperial IPA, we achieved just that! Obscene use of Citra and Simcoe hops will attack your senses with bright citrus fruit, balanced with earthy pine notes. The indecency doesn’t stop there, as it packs a wallop at 9% but you won’t notice because it drinks so remarkable smooth. Don’t worry, you’re modesty isn’t needed here!

This beer is quite strong at 9% abv and packs a whopping 85 IBUs to punch your taste buds, it poured a very slightly hazy golden yellow with a finger or so of head that faded over 5 mins down to a film. The nose is hoppy piney and grapefruit up front with some sweeter citrus following lightly in the rear for balance. The taste is similar and leaves a strong resiny aftertaste, feel is medium closer to the heavy side leaving the resin feeling almost sappy, carbonation is lightly prickling. Overall this comes together really nicely for a 9% IIPA. It is definitely one worth a try

Pours moderately cloudy pale copper with modest head. Piney citrusy. Flavour: bitterness marked tends to mask the tropical fruit malts.

Copper and modestly cloudy, with little carbonation of small and the occasional ginormous bubble. Topped with 2 fingers of yellow tinged head. Leaves a nice lacing.

Smells of crème brulee, burnt sugar forward with hints of burning rubber. The background is of citrus, candy and lemon cream.

The taste follows the nose. This beer is unfortunately old for an IPA. I now read on the bottom of the can ‘May 03 17’ which I assume is the canning date. It’s Dec 24th, 2017. I got this a week ago at LCBO, thanks LCBO. So all I get is an immodest assessment of this brew.

Medium body, moderate carbonation.

Drinking this Ontario brew in Quebec today. It at least holds up to the over aged Tuatara IIPA I had, making me think this once was a very good brew.

Too emphatic in too many ways. Its very sweet and that brings tbis brew to its knees for me. Over the top hoppy as well. Lots of orange peel. And noticeably boozy. The problem is that it really doesnt hang together. No hsrmony.

16 oz can acquired on trip to Hamilton. Pours a slightly hazy golden orange with decent whitish head. Fruity aroma with some tropical sweetness and slightly boozy. Taste of sweet hoppy citrus fruit, warming caramel malt, minimal bitterness - mildly boozy but not overpowering for 9%. Finishes smooth - too easy to drink this really good beer. Worth another trip to middle Canada.

Got this from the LCBO this past summer.

From a 16oz can into a pint glass.
IBU: 85
Hops: Magnum, Simcoe & Citra

APPEARANCE: Pours a two finger, foamy, medium looking white head with good retention. Head slowly fades to a full cap and leaves some lacing on the glass. Clear safety orange in color with medium levels of carbonation. A full cap remains until the end leaving lots of sticky lacing down the glass.

SMELL: Pale malts with caramel, toffee notes, melon, pine aromas and pineapple. Good mix and plenty aromatic.

TASTE: Pale malts, caramel sweetness, melon and piney notes up front. Flavorful. A nice finish of caramel, pineapple, melon, piney flavors and some alcohol lingers on the palate. Good stuff.

PALATE: Medium body and medium levels of carbonation. Creamy smooth on the palate, goes down smooth and finishes somewhat sticky for the style. Some bitterness lingers.

OVERALL: Good brew. This one is perhaps a touch boozier than it really needs to be, but that definitely doesn’t take away from the enjoyment factor here. Worth checking out if for sure. Cheers!

Can: Poured a hazy bright amber color ale with a nice large foamy head with good retention and some lacing. Aroma of juicy hops with nice citrusy notes and light fruity ester. Taste is a mix of deep citrusy hops notes with some floral undertones and light fruity ester with some residual sugar and light dry caramel notes and very limited bitterness. Body is full with good carbonation. Enjoyable but also very filling IIPA with plenty of malt.
