Good spot. Been to River Grove Binny's a few dozen times. It's definitely the best in the neighborhood. Been to 4 other Binny's also and this is one has the least variety of beers. Best was either new South Loop location or Milwaukee Ave, Niles location. It used to be a Gold Standard and was converted. Not a ground up Binny's. Nonetheless, has new selection everytime I'm in there. Lot's of Eastern European selection like the previous respondant mentioned. Any Polish and lots of Czech brews. Caters to neighborhood folk. Little in the way of Trappist / exotic Belgium brews. A decent selection and frequently changed US craft section. Small section of English / Asian / Western Europe. Some strange beers cold. Lots of wine / spirits / liquor.... ton's of gift sets and specials. Check it out!

This is an older style Binny's and a smaller one, but it does pack a very nice selection.

It is in a polish neighborhood so expect to see some oddball eastern euro imports. There is also an awesome wall of minikegs.

There are about 4 long aisles of beer plus beer in the coolers along the left wall. It is an expansive selection with even a few dutch imports I haven't seen before. The craft is well-represented as well, even some newer Illinois brands in cans that I have never seen before.

It is like most other binny's if a bit underachieving, but it is still stocked to the gills with beer.

This location has a similar selection to the other Binny's in Chicagoland. The prices across all of the Binny's are coordinated usually and item sales are consistent with other Binny's locations. However, I noticed this Binny's has sales on older, ageable seasonals that haven't been sold yet.

I noticed they had a few Short's offerings (not distributed in Chicago) and asked how long they had them and the beer guy told me, "a very long time." So I let him know that I was disappointed because I wanted to try some fresh Humalupalicious and he told me that it wouldn't last long. At that point I was confused so I'm not so sure the beer guy knows what he's talking about if he doesn't even know if a brewery distributes there or not.

This place keeps getting better. I've been going here more often and the selection improves every day. The beer guys are great a and if there is something missing they immediately ask if you'd like them to order it. The store is well organized by country (like all Binny's) and the prices are about on-par with other Binny's.

Although all the stores are pretty similar, they all seem to excel in one specific area. Some always have a popular brewery's stuff (3 Floyds) when others have sold out. This one has damned fresh stock. Turnover must be fast because -you can be sure that when you pick up that Daisy Cutter 4-pack its going to be weeks old.

Stopped in here on my way to the airport, and to check out the new Sheffield's (since closed) across the parking lot.

Though the store showed it's age a bit (looked like a former grocery store) there was a solid selection here, comparable to a few other Binnys in the burbs. The layout was sort of staggered, long supermarket aisles of craft sixers opposite more craft in bombers. 750s, and more sixers. Imports were closer to the cooler, with Belgians awkwardly facing the macro coolers. Main gripe is that there was very little craft beer in the cooler. Being in a random suburb, there were a few gems to be found among the comprehensive selection. Full lines of FFF (at least 12), Port/Lost Abbey (12-15), Founders (8 or so + DD), New Holland, Lagunitas, Goose Is., etc. Oddballs like Hook & Ladder and Sherwood Forest that aren't widely available yet. Good import selection, Nøgne Ø, Handbakk, Cantillon Kriek, 4 De Dolle (Exp. Stout, Oerbier, Dulle Teve, Arabier), lots of German & Eastern Euro, but not dominated by them.

There were three employees at the one front register talking, but no one on the floor or at a 2nd register. I asked where Sheffields was, and they did help me find it (right across the parking lot). Overall a solid selection, which is much improved from the reviews of past years.

this store is in an old strip mall, in an ethnicly mixed working-class area. there's lots of off-the-boat poles and other eastern euro-types, italians, and others as well. it caters to these folks by offering what THEY want to drink. yuppies.... well they ain't in this neighborhood.

you won't find much in the way of exotic imported or american craft brew- they don't drink that stuff in the 'hood'. you'll find the stalwarts though, goose, SNPA, anchor, chimay, sam smith, etc. like any binny's they will special order any beer available through the local distributors for you. HUGE selection of polish and eastern european brews, some of it cold. and the prices are decent too. great place for italian vino and eastern euro booze too, if that's also your thing.

the service is good, the staff is friendly. they take plastic as well as checks and cash. if you're lucky you'll run into bryon, the part-time beer guy. very knowledgable dude.

best store overall compared to the other beer spots in the neighborhood, it's no contest. but don't expect the usual "binny's experience", they don't have the clientele.
