Very good oatmeal stout with tons of chocolate and roasted malts along with some lighter sweetened coffee flavors. The mouthfeel is thick and very enjoyable.

Picked up a bottle at Plaza as part of a build-a-6-pack since I haven't had it in a while.
L - Pours pitch black, brownish caramel head that disappears quickly
S - Roasted coffee, burnt cocoa, an inexplicable fruity soda scent
T - Strong coffee, malt, toffee and cocoa up front. Artificial grape follows. Bitter but a slight toasty malt to finish.
F - High carbonation for a "stout", very thin and watery. Not quite a stout but perhaps an Arizona stout.
O - I like other brews from Nimbus, but this one seems a bit confused. Not sure what oatmeal contributes to the stout style. It's very fizzy, almost soda-like, with a strange aftertaste. It's drinkable, but not my go-to in the Nimbus family.

Pours really dark brown almost black with a tan head that quickly faded to minimal lacing. Smells mildly of alcohol, roasted malts, oats, and unsweetened chocolate. Tastes pretty basic for a stout, chocolate and oats. Thin mouth feel, similar (but better) than the Bell's Porter. Thinner feel than what I hope for/expect from a stout. Overall, it's solid 4/5 you know, it's nothing fantastic but it's definitely worth picking up if you haven't tried it.

Pours pitch black color with a big 2 finger light brown foamy head that faded slowly and left very cool looking spider web foamy lacing and rings as it went down.
Smells like a penny or sheet metal, roasted malts, cocoa powder and muted fruit; not a stout aroma in the classic sense and pretty weak nose overall that had some roasty notes but mostly sweetness.
Tastes of roasted malts, cocoa powder, fruit, coffee grinds, a penny, toasted oats, chocolate milk, syrup and pumpernickel bread. No hop contribution and the oatmeal essence is lost in the bland muted flavor; the roasted malt and coffee accents save this from being a complete waste and make is salvageable.
Mouthfeel is thin and almost watery with very mild carbonation, a medium body that has a little chewy feel to it and a slightly bitter aftertaste that leaves some nice roasted notes.
Overall it was alright, but with so many great stouts out there I highly doubt that I’d have it again.

12 oz bottle, poured into a pint glass
Appearance: Pours a pretty, completely opaque, pitch-black color with an eighth of a finger of caramel-colored head that completely dissolved away into no head what-so-ever.
Aroma: Strong notes of roasted malt, giving off notes of coffee, burnt sugar, freshly baked dark bread and some faint licorice aromas as well as some smoke.
Taste: Good and malty, with some strong roasted flavors of coffee and smoke. Some brown sugar-like sweetness followed by some strong flavors of freshly baked bread and some pretty strong hops.
Mouthfeel: Medium-bodied to slightly chewy. Practically no carbonation what-so-ever. With an ABV of 5.0%, there is absolutely no presence of alcohol on the palate.
Overall: This is an ok oatmeal stout. Tasty while you drink it, but completely forgettable once finished. I wouldn’t pass it up if offered, but I’m not going to look for it either.
