Very deep black color with a huge caramel head, mushroom type, with great retention and leaving laces, simply perfect.
Hoppy aroma with notes of pine, tangerines, lemon, grapefruit, caramel, grapes, rye, coffee and spices. Pretty and smelly, expectations are now building...
Flavor is bold and diverse with notes of rye and other grains, ginger, resin, pine, spices, roasted and toasted malts, lemon, grapefruit, coffee, cocoa powder, mild anise and definitely some wine notes from the Nelson Sauvin hops. Dry and bitter aftertaste.
Medium body with good carbonation. Alcohol of 8.4% abv is simply absent.
Very complex, hoppy and multifaceted beer, you can really tell what the recipe was made of. The flavors seem not to mix or offset one another. Amazing how hops are still very present after almost a year. Great beer.

Teku glass.
A: Pitch black, with big, medium-lasting, light brown head, very good lacing.
S: Suprisingly in the beggining you can smell some tropical fruits - lychee, mango. Medium roasted malts aroma - caramel, chocolate, medium aroma of fresh mostly herbal and piney hops with some hints of citrus. Booziness is quite noticable from the beggining.
T: Quite complex. At first you can taste some sourness from dark malts and tropical fruit sweetenss. Than bitterness from hops and roasted malts. From the middle piney and herbal hops character is dominant. In the background you can find some malty, even sweet character. Finish is semi dry with hints of sweetness. Low booze is noticable.
M: Dry beer, medium carbonation, medium to full body, oily texture, no alcohol warmth.
O: Very complex Black IPA. Good combination of hops and malts. You can smell and taste everything what is on the label. Rye malts gives it very good lacing and oily texture. Nelson sauvin males it refreshing and dry. Good balance between roasted malts and fruity, piney hops makes it quite drinkable. This beers is variation of De molen IPAs - almost juicy fruitiness (which is very characteristic for De molen) combined with roasted malts.
