On tap at The Ale House, served in a tulip.
The beer was a hazy amber color with a small, off-white head. A small amount of sticky lace.
Sweet fruity aroma. Very strong herbal hops. Peppery in my nose.
Taste followed aroma. Sweet orange fruit taste, strong piney hops.
Smooth and sweet mouthfeel. Not very carbonated.
Very enjoyable. (333 characters)

333ml bottle, Saveur de Biere, France - Pours hazy amber with no real head. Low carbonation. Smell - Fruity citrus, hoppy, small amount of pine. Taste - Sweet citrus, orange, dry large bitter finish. One to sip. Nice DIPA but personally would like slightly more carbonation (possibly better on tap) and little less sweetness. (325 characters)

Had this one from a 75cl bottle. I poured a large white head that stayed long.
The aroma has a lot of hopnotes with lots of fruitiness, grapefruit, citrus and pine.
in the taste the balance is a little strange, the hoppyness is so dominant that it overwelmes the rest of the taste.
In the aftertaste the hopnotes are lingering. It is a good beer but with a little more body the balance will improve.
Nice beer. (412 characters)

330ml bottle. De Molen doesn't exactly keep their single-hop offerings in the same base beer ballpark, do they? And this isn't even single-hopped, just the name is.

This beer pours a hazy medium brickish orange hue, with one finger of very bubbly, loosely foamy off-white head, which leaves a bit of spectral, swirling galaxy lace around the glass as it quickly dissolves.

It smells of bitter citrus, creamed caramel, pine resin, strong green herbal notes, an uncertain drupe fruitiness, a hint of distant smoke, and alcohol-soaked bread pudding. The taste is zingy grapefruit, orange, and lime rind, somewhat bready caramel malt, a soft creamy nuttiness, musty toffee, earthy honey, fibrous pine, and a slightly grassy, herbal hoppiness.

The carbonation is rather soft and lulling, with just a minor twinge here and there, the body a sturdy medium-full weight, dead smooth, and more than a little creamy. It finishes on the sweet side, the caramel cream essence having mostly subsumed the bitterness of the hops.

A pretty tasty malt-forward DIPA, the hops (no initial slouches of their own) seeming to have difficulty finding purchase. However, there is a hefty dose of 'the whole is greater than the sum of the parts' theme running through this offering, so it becomes easy to just sit back and enjoy the robust, balanced flavours, while the clearly obscured (heh) booze works its magic. (1,393 characters)

This is a different beer than the winter warmer, 77EBU Challenger,Saaz and Dryhopping with Amarillo.
Lots of amarillo, initially some acid into the stomach (was not too crazy about the Saaz ) then a citrus taste, good carmel malting full mouthfeel. Very tasty.Orangey colour, good head.
I had on tap 2.5 years later andnowhere as good. (334 characters)

Took me about 10 minutes to pour into my tulip glass given the enormous head that slides out on the tiniest of pours. Head settles slowly, leaves bubbly lacings. Pretty chunky, loads of UFOs after emptying the bottle, makes the beer look pretty muddy.

Aroma is quite nice. Big mango with lighter tropical fruits around the edges.

Mango is up front, starts quite sweet then slowly mellows out to a nice subtle fruitiness. Bitterness is quite subdued, certainly not as abbrasive as most DIPAs. Alcohol is also well under control. Admirable balance for the style.

I could probably use a touch more carbonaiton on this one, everything is just a touch too laid back.

Nice beer, not much of a looker though. (706 characters)

Bottle: Poured a hazy dirty beige color ale with a relatively large foamy head with good retention and some lacing. Aroma of citrus and light grapefruit notes with some light rustic malt notes. Taste is also dominated by medium rustic malt notes with limited sweetness level and also comprised notes of citrus and floral hops with a light dry bitter finish. Body was full with limited filtration and good carbonation with no apparent alcohol. Well brewed with solid malt backbone while not being overly sweet though additional hops presence would have been even better. (569 characters)
