Enjoyed on draft at WLV Liquors during Zwanze Day, 2012. Served in my Zwanze taster flute.
A: Pours a dark black color with a dark tan head forming on the pour. It recedes slowly leaving some sticky lace behind.
S: Earthy and green coffee beans, some roasted malts and a little sweetness as well. As expected.
T: Same earthy coffee beans, roasted malts, some sweetness and a little anise. Slightly astringent.
M: Medium to heavy bodied with a little thickness to it. Dry and mildly astringent. Medium carbonation.
O: This was alright. The coffee was earthy and dark as expected and at the forefront of the taste. Probably wouldn't care to have again, but it was far from bad.

Served in a snifter
A - It is black as the ace of spades. It is topped with three inches of tan head.
S - I smell some coffee and yeast.
T - The taste is coffee and cream. The coffee has undoubtedly mellowed over the two years it spent in the bottle, but it is still enough to make it taste great.
M - Full
O - This is a nice coffee stout. The coffee flavor and aroma has held up well for two years. Now I want to find a fresher bottle. I enjoyed it thoroughly. My bottle was brown and not green like the picture.

Bottled 4/18/12. No problem forming a head; super fizzy. I get black coffee, dark chocolate, some smoke, raisin, and maybe a bit of port wine in the nose. Really nice coffee flavors, some good dark chocolate, caramel. A tiny hint of bitterness, and maybe just a touch of alcohol on the end, but really well hidden otherwise. It hasn't warmed as much as I'd like it to, but pretty tasty so far as I write this.
