This beer poured a translucent copper with a dime sized head that quickly goes away. I get a nice caramel aroma, along with a sweet malt nose that is balanced by a floral hop background. The sweet malt turns into a bit of salted caramel or toffee with a slightly bitter aftertaste that tends to linger. The carbonation starts strong in the front of you mouth but quickly disappears into the back. I enjoyed this beer. This is the second beer in the calendar from this brewery and both have been tasty. The plainness of the label again really draws me in and I think it is a great simple label. The only thing I think would make it better is a more glossy label. Don't let the plain label deceive you another great beer.

330ml Bottle from Beers of Europe website (£2.29):
Golden amber with a thumb-sized, foamy white head & light lacing on the sides of the glass. Retention is good with only a slight reduction in size over the opening minutes.
Fresh & lively initially with citrus & lemon plus subtle hops & spice. Freshly cut grass, floral notes & a touch of tart follow.
Citrus with light tart & sourness from the nose. Fruity with some bitterness & grapefruit plus a few lager malts. There's solid floral flavours from the nose too that add to the bitterness & fresh, grassy hops round things off.
Smooth with fine, medium strength carbonation & bitter finish. Easy to drink with a good balance, clean mouthfeel & a subtly dry finish.
A pretty good beer from de Molen, a nice twist on a Czech pilsner with more of a floral & lightly hopped taste. The beer wasn't a stand out offering from the brewery but was definitely well worth trying.

Amber orange color with a two finger head with medium retention but consistent and leaving a thin lace.
Aroma of grassy hops and fruity, the latter been a tweak from regular Bohemian Pilsners, which is good news.
Clear sweet malty taste and Saaz hops and hints of grapefruit. Bitterness that linger for a decent time, feeling of more than its 36 IBUs.
Medium body with good carbonation and small bubbles.
A Pilsner plus, decent beer, though I liked more the other De Molen (but this is one is supposedly to be a Pilsner…).

330 mL btl poured into a Pils glass. Served at 5C.
Hazy golden pour with a light amber hue. Marginal initial head with very light carbonation but a decent ring that leaves clear and ample lacing all the way through.
Sweet, candy malt with a distinct mineral note through the upper levels. Lightly floral hops with a clear musty yeast base. It lacks a rounded, full sensory experience
Sweet fruit filled artisan bread, nutty seeds (some toasted coriander adds tot he savory end of the citrus). Nice light crisp lemon peel give a cleansing center, aided by the carbonation, just before the finish. Floral and VERY light bitter hops combined with a nice level of yeast give a fair low end balance to the citrus carbonation on the top.
smooth origin that quickly develops into a foamy citrus body that fades to a lightly dry finish with plenty of residual sugars on the lip.

330ml bottle, day 13 of the 2012 Craft Beer Advent calendar. Two entries here, and as usual, the de Molen labels give no clue as to the style they are intending, save the actual brewing information, of course. 6.2% ABV, and Saaz hops, so I'm planting my flag on this figurative 'Thunder & Lightning'.
This beer pours a hazy, medium golden amber hue, with two fingers of foamy, puffy off-white head, which leaves some nice English hedge lace around the glass as it evenly subsides.
It smells of sweet, candy-like bready malt, a flinty mineral character, and leafy, grassy hops. The taste is biscuity, grainy malt, some soft, muddled drupe fruitiness, a slight earthy honey note, and moderately bitter floral, flat grassy hops.
The carbonation is supportive, but on the low side, the body an adequate medium weight, and a tad frothy in its otherwise placid smoothness. It finishes well off-dry, the fruity malt contending more or less easily with the latent state of the hops.
Well, this does taste a heckuva lot more like a Bohemian Pils, than anything Dubbel-related, so here we are then. The malt is rather English bitter-esque, and the Saaz hops not all that sassy, but all in all, I'd have another of these.

Craft beer advent...
Bottled on 19/06/12. 14.9 Plato, EBC 10, 36 IBU, 6.2% abv.
Water, pills and cara barley malts, permiant and saaz hops.
Sort of an Imperial Pils... though not sure it's a lager yeast... maybe a Belgian Blonde?
A: Golden bronze with an off-white head, some retention, shows some leg.
S: Steelie, grassy hops, candied pineapple, hints of toffee.
T: Steelie hops, hints of tropical fruit and toffee, good bitterness, alcohol is subtle.
M: Moderate body has a crisp finish with a light hop acidity.
O: A really good drinker.

330ml bottle. Lager glass. Enjoyed on agt´12. Hazy gold in color. White, close, froth creates a lasting rocky crown. Earthy & herbal aromas, subtle cinnamon & resins underneath. Clean bitter upfront followed by gentle maltiness with ripe pear notes. Spicy touch to the palate. Medium body. Soft but lively carbonation. Strong bitterness in the middle balanced by ripe fruit notes. Apricot texture. Bitter aftertaste. Refreshing & easy drinkable.

appearance: Amber color and slightly hazy. Big foam top. Nice lacing.
smell: Floral, yeasty, slightly fruity and hops.
taste: I actually lost a few of the flavors i smelled. It was mainly some bitter grassy hops that prevailed. With a slight floral and fruity undertone. But it lacks just a tad of sweetness to balance it out.
mouthfeel: Medium to high carbination. Quite dry finish.
overall: It's an ok beer. Not as refreshing to call it a nice summer beer and lacks depth to call it interesting.

On tap at the molen. Poured into a the molen taste glass.
Look: the beer pours a orange-amber color with a nice white head.
Smell: Floral hops, honey, grass and malts
Taste: Nicely bitter hops, grass, malts, with a surprising sweet honey tone in the finish
Mouthfeel: Medium body with high carbonation
Overall: A very very nice hoppy Bohemian pilsner

Bottle: Poured a cloudy golden color beer with a super large foamy head with great retention and some very good lacing. Aroma of floral hops with some astringency and light tartness as well. Taste is also a mix between some citrus notes with nice floral undertones and an astringent finish. Body is quite full with ridiculous carbonation. This is no ordinary pilsener with grassy notes taken to the extreme.

Pours hazy orange/amber with a huge lasting head.
Nose shows sweet light fruit, pear and apple. Phenols and doughy yeast later on.
Flavours include more light sweet malt and fruit before finishing with a bold, dry, bitter finish.
Carbonation is ridiculously high!
