First had poured from 22-oz. bomber purchased at the Foothills Pub into tulip. Probably missed this at its best (surprising amount of sediment in the bottle), as it got lost in the back of my beer fridge. But even past its prime, Wally confirms that Foothills can't help making good IPAs.

They said brewed with an experimental hybrid hop...which tastes and smells a lot like diacetyl

Since I bought this in June and drank it in June it should be fresh. Therefore I must conclude that it's just OK.

Smelled strongly like garlic and the taste wasn't much better.

Hazy golden orange with a solid head that sticks to the surface. Smell is colorfully fruity - limes, mangoes, berries, creamy lemon, and melons. Flavor is equally fruity with a seemingly heavy influence of lemony Sorachi Ace at the start, but more of a musky Citra mango joins in soon enough, along with sugary grapefruit candy and mixed berries. Some spicy dankness lurks underneath which helps cut through some of the fruity sweetness. Medium bodied with a frothiness to it and a dry finish. Pretty good...appropriately fruity for the season.
