Big Thanks to Kingkong for surprising me with this one!
A: A giant cloudy head sits atop a honey hued nectar, marked by a touch of haze and some lazy lacing emanating from the glass' laser etching.
S: Bouquet is both light and delicate, with floral, herbal, and pine notes coming together beautifully.
T: Bone dry from the get go, with a bitter punch in the beginning, followed by toasted baquette, and finishing off with herbal hops.
M: Very light, dry, and refreshing, with just a touch of hop astringency.
O: A highly sessionalbe and flavorful ale. It is nice to see someone go against the grain and make am IPA that isn't so heavy. Its lightness makes it a great candidate for food pairing, as well as for mass consumption. Definitely a treat.

This is real beer. It is authentic. One of a kind, but easy to find. My new favorite go-to beer. Refreshing crisp taste. Always tastes fresh and not like it has been sitting on a shelf for a year. As far as IPAs go it isn't bitter or biting. It is balanced, smooth, and has great flavors. Goes well with most foods but also great on it's own.

On-tap at the Oxford in Raleigh, NC on 20 June 2014.
Pours clear medium amber. One finger of off-white head, good retention, fantastic lacing covering the inside of the glass.
Smell is faint, more earthy than anything else, with an herbal slant. Not much there.
Taste is just straight up plain bitter. Pretty one-dimensional. A little grain in front. Rather chalky. Meh
Feel is okay. Medium-heavy, enough carbonation. Unremarkable.
A simple, straightforward IPA. Not a whole lot to it, other than enough bitterness to cover any subtle flavors but not enough to be a palate wrecker.
