Poured from a 22oz bomber (no freshness data) into a Bell's tulip. The pour is clear and orange-gold with 1-2 fingers of head. Decent retention. Nice blend of citrus and pine on the nose. Citrus includes grapefruit, lemon, and some orange.
Medium body, but feels a bit thin. The beer is quite bitter without much malt behind it. It's not the most well-balanced IPA I've had. The bitterness is rather piney, sappy, and unpleasant. There isn't as much fruity bitterness promised by the nose. Just a sharp, flowery bitterness followed by some tea and lemon flavors. The finish is dry and minty and lingers nicely.
I doubt I'd buy this again. It's good, but there are other IPAs out there that are more worthy of repeat purchases. The flavor reminds me a little of Sweetwater IPA, though I didn't enjoy it quite as much.

This is real beer. It is authentic. One of a kind, but easy to find. My new favorite go-to beer. Refreshing crisp taste. Always tastes fresh and not like it has been sitting on a shelf for a year. As far as IPAs go it isn't bitter or biting. It is balanced, smooth, and has great flavors. Goes well with most foods but also great on it's own.

On-tap at the Oxford in Raleigh, NC on 20 June 2014.
Pours clear medium amber. One finger of off-white head, good retention, fantastic lacing covering the inside of the glass.
Smell is faint, more earthy than anything else, with an herbal slant. Not much there.
Taste is just straight up plain bitter. Pretty one-dimensional. A little grain in front. Rather chalky. Meh
Feel is okay. Medium-heavy, enough carbonation. Unremarkable.
A simple, straightforward IPA. Not a whole lot to it, other than enough bitterness to cover any subtle flavors but not enough to be a palate wrecker.
