Pours a slightly hazy orange with an off white head. Very noticeable, pleasant malt presence, spicy citrusy hop bitterness, nice bit of piney hops there too, and some other light floral notes. Taste is a nice combination of piney and citrusy hops, a little sweet, and a nice malt backbone bringing it all together. Well balanced, fairly simple, but still pretty tasty.

12 oz bottle poured into sniffer glass. Don B gave me the bottle....
A: pours a rich copper color, thick frothy khaki color+1 finger head, carbonation, sediment suspended
S: the aroma is my favorite part, its a sweet bouquet of caramel, citrus, apple, fruity, brown sugar, just fresh all around
M: medium body, slightly chewy
T: slight caramel, grapefruit, orange rind, ginger ale, citrus, hops, bitterness, crisp dry finish, hop head enjoyment
O: wow I'm impressed, sign me up a subscription to this brew as the aroma and flavor are great, truly a fine brew.

Foothills is one of the breweries local to my area (central NC). Recently had my first Hoppyum at a "beer dinner" in which beers are paired with various food courses.

A: Typical IPA appearance: copper color, 2-finger head at the pour, some lacing.
S: Citrusy and piney. Very pungent. Awesome. What you want an IPA to smell like.
T: Solid hoppy flavor from start to finish. Very aggressive hops at the front with some grapefruit at the mid-palate. Nice bitterness throughout, but especially at the end.
M: Silky, which was surprising. Not overly dry, but very the dryness is evident.
O: Very enjoyable IPA, with some real complexity. Surprising "pop" of hops in the nose.
