Big thanks to JR for being my regular hook-up with this one. I've had this a few times, including once in growler format at RBWG, but I've never taken the time to write any notes. Shared with Nate & Bryna - served in a Darkness snifter. Bottle #525/1000 from the 2010 release.
A - Pours with a finger of dark tan foam that dissipates to a thin ring. Some spotty lace is left clinging to the sides of the glass. The body is black with some glints of brown at the fringes of the glass.
S - Roasted malts, chocolate cake, molasses, dark fruits, and caramel candy. I don't get much of the espresso mentioned on the bottle. This takes a little while to warm up, and I expected more intense chocolate (given the name).
T - The taste is quite similar, but some earthy espresso bitterness pops up along with a nice multi-grain toast malt character that imparts a bit of char. Very well balanced, but surprisingly subtle.
M - This is a little thin for an RIS, although it wasn't far off considering the sub-10% ABV. Carbonation was a little zestier and grittier than I prefer. Finishes chewy & sticky.
D - Since the bottle was split three ways, this went very fast. I could definitely have used another pour, but c'est la vie! Doesn't get cloying at all, which is a welcome surprise.
The smell/taste are closer to 4.25 each, so I slightly fudged (no pun intended) the scores to convey that in the overall assessment. This is a very good and enjoyable stout that seems to be slightly overrated due to rarity and local hype.
I made a point of drinking this fresh to fully experience the chocolate character, but if you're expecting ST Choklat (which I dislike) you will be a bit disappointed. Nate mentioned that some think this is better on draft - I can see that being the case if it improves the feel.

Opaque poor with a thick brown creamy head. I bet this is why they named the beer “Sexual Chocolate”. Gorgeous beer that actually looks ummmm “sexual”.
Heavy chocolate malt aroma with faint hint of alcohol. This beer is delicious. One if the best I’ve ever had. Sweet rich dark chocolate with a hint of alcohol on the back end. Thick creamy mouthfeel. Foothills you nailed it with this beer. Certainly a beer everyone should try at least once.

An old vintage. Beer exudes a ton of cocoa and stands up to time. Not overly aromatic or thick but contends extremely well as I tick this stout even if its 10 years old.

Picked up a single from TW-Greenville, SC 7-27-22 for $4.49. Guessing it was bottled in February 2022; consumed 11-29-22.
Beer poured black with a very nice tan head that has some great hang time.
Nose has hints of roasted malts, cocoa, and coffee. Develops the more it warms.
Taste is a larger malt base that is medium to heavy roast that emits notes of coffee. Cocoa addition along with a pretty substantial hop addition balance each other out. Finishes very roasty and dry.
Mouthfeel is medium bodied and smooth.
Overall better than i thought it would be given the name. This is a heavily roasted and hopped beer and not necessarily a dessert stout.

Had on tap at the Foothills Brewpub. Pours a deep black color with a thin off white colored head that leaves a little lacing down the glass. Smells of deep roasted malts, hints of chocolate, coffee, and a hint of caramel / brown sugar sweetness at the end. Tastes excellent, nice roasted malt, chocolate taste and a bit of caramel at the end. Smooth, rich, full bodied, perfect amount of carbonation, feels lighter than it is. Overall, this is an excellent rendition of the style and one I would come back to.

Rich dark chocolate flavor balanced on a nicely structured dry malt backbone. Thick, lacey finish.

Dark brown, approaching black, with three fingers of foamy, dark khaki head. Decent retention gives way to thick rings of lacing.
Dry cocoa, umami, a hint of plum and a good whiff of carbon dioxide in the nose.
Bitter baker’s chocolate, plum, roasty umami and toasted malt in the taste. Dark and fairly bitter.
Thin bodied for an imperial stout these days. Lightly creamy (milky?) with fairly strong carbonation.
Nice dark flavors in this one, but with an underwhelming feel and more carbonation off-gassing than I like.

Bought a 22 oz at Kroger's on sale. Sunday afternoon porch lunch with the DW! Some flavors and sharpness that we can't place. It is robust. Really wouldn't say anything chocolate here, though. It is roasty, though. To me, it's an odd stoney taste. Not overly sweet for an imperial. Great color, and the head is beautiful in darkness. A lot of time seemed to go into making this one, though. It is rich and complex in many ways.

Black opaque with a half finger of rusty beige head.
Smells of molasses, dark chocolate, and taffy.
Tastes of taffy, black strap molasses, licorice, and maybe chocolate.
Medium, highly frothy body, with lots of carbonation. Very light feel for the ABV.
I've been waiting for 6 years to try this Jan 2020 version. Very disappointed. It has the name, and a decent mouth feel, but other than that, I'm not really digging it. $16.99 a bottle! I got it in Asheville, NC and am drinking it in Clyde, June 14th, 2020.
