A typical German Hefeweizen, this light ale is made using a combination of wheat and barley malts from Europe. Brewed using only German hops. This summer thirst quencher is served with a traditional slice of lemon.

Taster at the source.
Hazy dark yellow in color with a thin white head that quickly dissipates. Clove and faint banana in the aroma and flavor. Earthy lightly tart. middle of the road wheat beer.

Look: Pours a nice hazy yellow with a good white head

Smell: Clove, banana, phenols, citrus

Taste: Nice wheaty flavor up front with some good clove, banana, and citrus

Feel: Light body and good carbonation

Overall: Another nice easy drinker from the Dockyard Brewing Co, very enjoyable. Not the greatest Hefeweizen, but it certainly is a good one.

A decently delectable and easily characterized wheat beer from Frog & Onion. This beer has a good smooth mouthfeel and wheat body with a nice citrus twang on the top. It is lacking in hop character and therefore scores a low rating for a mediocre aftertaste, but overall it is a pretty good midrange wheat.

Draught @ Frog & Onion: This one pours a cloudy, straw yellow color. There was a very small white head on it and some lacing. It has a nice nose. Clove, citrus and some banana. The taste is good. Slightly lighter body. Wheat, clove, faint banana and lemon. A decent Hefe.

Served on tap in a traditional bar glass. Bermudian holiday, so thought I'd try some craft brews.

Pours cloudy pale yellow, foamy, sticky. Yellow black color. Wheaty smell. Light taste is wheaty, with some sour notes of banana. Smooth. Light sour close. No bitter. Light easy tasty.

Pretty good beer to start off with.
